The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Doe walks forward, straight into a front kick from Fakiiri. Fakiiri closes the distance but Doe moves to the side and Doe counters with a nice body shot. Doe dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Fakiiri moves into the clinch. Fakiiri throws an elbow but it misses.
Fakiiri told us before the fight that he's been working on his elbows. An under utilised technique these days - let's see if it can sway the outcome of the fight. Fakiiri scores with an uppercut up the middle. Fakiiri looks to throw an elbow but misses. Doe lands a left hand that snaps the head of Fakiiri backwards. Doe tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Fakiiri blocks a body shot from Doe. Doe lands a hook to the side of the head. Fakiiri is stalling here.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Nakki Fakiiri! Nakki Fakiiri is the new heavyweight champion! Nakki Fakiiri spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
