Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 10 - 0, fighting out of London, Jack Badger! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Shane Wellman Iv! The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Ben Zyskovitsi and Johanna Lukiainen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Badger looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Badger drops his hands momentarily and Wellman Iv takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Wellman Iv manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Badger on his heels. He'll look to pass Badger's guard now, I'm sure. Wellman Iv stays in close to Badger's body and controls the position. Wellman Iv thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Wellman Iv's corner is telling him to maintain position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Wellman Iv wants to pass the guard but Badger is keeping the position. Wellman Iv is stalling in the full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. It looks like Wellman Iv might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. Wellman Iv throws a big elbow that misses. Wellman Iv stays in close to Badger's body and controls the position. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Wellman Iv drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Wellman Iv jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Badger on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Badger tries to get out of the position. Badger is working an open guard so Wellman Iv takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Jack Badger seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Wellman Iv slips a jab and a cross from Badger.

Badger has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Wellman Iv uses from the top position. Wellman Iv trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Wellman Iv controlling from the top position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wellman Iv forces his way into half guard. Wellman Iv is controlling the pace.
Wellman Iv stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Badger to get to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Badger fails to land with a series of punches.
Badger throws a series of punches but Wellman Iv avoids them all with ease. Wellman Iv dodges the punch combination from Badger.
Wellman Iv drops his hands momentarily and Badger takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Badger moves out of range of the strikes. A big left from Badger misses. Wellman Iv shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Badger as he avoids it easily. Wellman Iv connects with the punch. Badger throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Wellman Iv counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. A thudding body kick lands there by Wellman Iv!
Badger gets caught napping as Wellman Iv dives in and scores a takedown. Badger manages to retain guard. Wellman Iv stopping the sweep attempt from Badger. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Shane Wellman Iv dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Wellman Iv shoots in but Badger avoids the takedown attempt easily. Badger fails with a takedown attempt. A nice combination there by Wellman Iv.
Badger closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Wellman Iv's guard. Wellman Iv has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Badger off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. Badger misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Badger defending well as Wellman Iv loads up on a big left hand. Wellman Iv fails with a takedown attempt. Badger throws a right hand that Wellman Iv ducks under and follows up with a left that Wellman Iv also avoids with ease. Badger moves into the clinch successfully.
Wellman Iv has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Badger avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Jack Badger has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Shane Wellman Iv.

Wellman Iv shoots in and bounces Badger off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Badger is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Wellman Iv is controlling him.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Wellman Iv shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Shane Wellman Iv has got the better of the ground game so far. Wellman Iv performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wellman Iv's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Badger is trying to stand back up but Wellman Iv is controlling him

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Wellman Iv shoots in and bounces Badger off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Wellman Iv controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Wellman Iv stands up from Badger's guard - Wellman Iv perhaps looking for a knockout. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Shane Wellman Iv will probably get the nod - 10:9. That's time! Back to the action! And we move into the final round!
Badger walks into a jab. A telegraphed right hand from Badger misses the target. Wellman Iv with the counter takedown but Badger avoids it easily. Badger ducks under a wild hook from Wellman Iv. Badger throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Wellman Iv is looking to clinch but Badger is avoiding it.
Badger attempts a counter takedown but Wellman Iv avoids it well and moves away. Badger dives in and grabs Wellman Iv's left leg, looking for a takedown. Wellman Iv pushes down on Badger's head and hops out. Wellman Iv shoots in and drives through. Badger sprawls well. Danga de danga de dang - Badger scores with a four punch combination! Wellman Iv closes the distance and clinches. Badger tries to pull guard but Wellman Iv holds him up against the cage and eventually Badger drops back down to his feet.

Badger is defending well against a takedown attempt. Badger is pressed up against the cage. Wellman Iv has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Badger down to the mat. Badger avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Wellman Iv digs a good hook to Badger's body.
Wellman Iv explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work. Badger avoids a punch combination nicely.
Wellman Iv takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wellman Iv looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Wellman Iv frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Wellman Iv looking to control and managing it successfully. Wellman Iv gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks! Wellman Iv misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Badger was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Badger misses with the body kick and Wellman Iv counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wellman Iv throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Badger tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Wellman Iv is in Badger's guard. Wellman Iv sitting in guard, not really doing much. Badger wants to stand and escape but Wellman Iv is having none of it. Badger wants to control but Wellman Iv passes easily into half guard.
Wellman Iv content to control rather than advance.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Badger tries to kick Wellman Iv off but Wellman Iv keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Badger misses with a few strikes there.
Jack Badger has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Badger leaves Wellman Iv with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Badger appears to be looking for a big counter.
And that's the end of the fight! Shane Wellman Iv comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Wellman Iv winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
