Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Marcelino Case (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Esau Mendel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Marcelino Case! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Esau Mendel! The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Steven Brown and Paul Tew.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mendel decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Case tries to roll over but Mendel keeps him under control. Mendel trying to control the action but Case is working from the bottom. Mendel wants to stand up but Case is controlling the position.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Mendel lands a nice short elbow. Case is looking to improve his position.

Case really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Case wants to control but Mendel is keeping busy and won't allow it. Mendel sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Case defending well though. Mendel is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Case sees it coming and defends easily. Case wants to control but Mendel is keeping busy.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mendel tries to stand and escape but Case is controlling the position. Mendel not landing any meaningful shots this time. Case keeping hold of Mendel's head, controlling as best he can. Case wants to get back to full guard. Mendel trying to control the action but Case is working from the bottom. Mendel prevents Case from improving his position. Case preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head. Case is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Mendel scores with a couple of nice shots. Case is looking to control Mendel's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Case avoid being mounted? Case gets back to full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Case is pulling down on Mendel's head. It's preventing any offense from Mendel, at least for the moment. Case controls Mendel momentarily but Mendel frees himself. Mendel got a little sloppy there for a moment and Case has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Mendel has managed to get both his arms back between Case's legs - danger averted. Case will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Case is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Mendel tries to get to full guard but Case has control of the leg. Mendel scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Case manages to mount him!

That's three minutes gone in the round. Case is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Mendel defends it well. Mendel tries to kick Case off but Case keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Case throws a strike but Mendel avoids it easily and moves to full guard. Case drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Mendel dives on top into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Mendel trying to control the position from guard on top but Case is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Case is trying to control the position but Mendel postures up. Mendel wants to stand but Case is controlling his posture from full guard. Case looking for a sweep. Not yet Case, not yet. Case pulls Mendel in to control the position. Mendel working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Case's head. Mendel must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Case is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Mendel lands a couple of digs. Mendel content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Case looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Mendel wants to get up but he can't break Case's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Mendel is looking to work some ground and pound but Case has wrist control. Mendel distracts Case with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Esau Mendel dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Mendel tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Case paws at him with a jab and circles away. Mendel fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Case to the ground. Mendel is now in Case's guard. Case is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Mendel landing some decent shots from guard. Mendel throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Case works some decent striking defense from the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Case is pulling down on Mendel's head. It's preventing any offense from Mendel, at least for the moment. Mendel wants to stand but Case is controlling his posture from full guard. Case wants to sweep here but Mendel controlling him for the moment. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Case has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Mendel has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round. A quick uppercut on the inside from Mendel. Mendel tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. A short right from Mendel.
Case is rocked! Case is trying to pull guard but Mendel has him pressed against the cage. Oh Case is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Case displaying some good clinch control by pressing Mendel up against the cage. Mendel breaks from the clinch.
Mendel clinches up with Case and pushes him back against the cage. Mendel pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Esau Mendel seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Mendel seems to be stalking Case here. He circles momentarily and then unleashes a devastating head kick! Case drops like a stone, out cold! WOW! Are you kidding me!? What a knockout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:32 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Esau Mendel! Esau Mendel decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
