Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Arturo Prah! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Frank McDougal! The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Marco Blurström and Anni Minnemäki.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McDougal with a lazy takedown attempt and Prah counters with a lovely straight right hand! Prah avoids a kick to the body.
McDougal is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Prah fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. McDougal looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. McDougal misses with a takedown attempt and Prah counters with a two punch combo. McDougal looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. McDougal with a lazy takedown attempt and McDougal takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Arturo Prah has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Frank McDougal. McDougal will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. It looked like Prah was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. McDougal closes this distance looking for a takedown but Prah circles away. Prah jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.

That's one minute gone in the round. McDougal on the wrong end of a nice jab. Arturo Prah is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. McDougal shoots in for a takedown but Prah shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Nice straight punches there by Prah. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Prah. McDougal shoots in and gets a takedown into Prah's guard. Prah pulls McDougal in to control the position. Prah wants to improve his position but instead McDougal has moved into half guard.
Prah is trying to control but can't.
McDougal wants to take a breather but Prah is having none of it. Prah is looking to escape. Prah is looking for a sweep. McDougal is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Prah on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Prah tries to get out of the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. McDougal is working for a kimura but Prah is defending it quite comfortably.
McDougal with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Prah has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. McDougal is working away from the top position though. McDougal trying to control from half guard but Prah is working away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Prah wants to get back to his feet.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Prah wants to get back to full guard but McDougal has passed into side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. McDougal working the ground and pound. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. McDougal lands a nice forearm strike. Prah tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but McDougal wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. McDougal has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. McDougal shoots for a takedown but Prah saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. McDougal fails with a takedown attempt. McDougal misses with a few strikes there.
Prah seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter. McDougal has his takedown stuffed and Prah counters with a nice uppercut. Prah stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Prah wants it to stay on the feet. Prah is looking for a counter combo. McDougal steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Prah. That one must have hurt. McDougal has closed the distance and engaged Prah in a clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Arturo Prah dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
No luck with that takedown attempt from McDougal. McDougal is trying hard to land a takedown here. Prah sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Arturo Prah is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. McDougal drops his hands momentarily and Prah takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. McDougal gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Frank McDougal seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. McDougal moves out of range as Prah strikes. Jab by Prah. McDougal tries to clinch up and Prah connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Prah moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.

McDougal throws a head kick that misses and Prah counters with a left and a right that stings McDougal. McDougal showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Prah.

McDougal darts in trying to clinch and Prah cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Prah throws a leg kick and Prah takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Decent striking displayed by Prah there. McDougal tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Prah counters with a nice uppercut. Prah looks to land a right hand but McDougal moved out of range. McDougal with the counter takedown but Prah avoids it easily. Prah avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
McDougal tries to clinch and Prah counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. McDougal shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Prah but Prah pushes him off and we're back to square one. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. McDougal shoots and misses and Prah counters with a lovely straight right hand! Prah feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to McDougal's calf.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Prah scores to the head and body with a nice combination! McDougal shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. McDougal tries a head kick but it misses.
Prah punishes McDougal's body with a nice straight punch. McDougal moves out of range of the strikes. McDougal tries to counter with a clinch but Prah shakes him off and moves away. Prah swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Prah throws a combination. McDougal tries to block but a couple of punches get through. Prah tests McDougal's chin there with a solid looking shot. McDougal has his takedown stuffed and Prah counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
That's four minutes gone in the round. McDougal fails with a takedown attempt. Arturo Prah is winning the standup battle so far. McDougal is breathing heavily. Prah clobbers McDougal with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! McDougal throws a head kick that misses and Prah counters with a three punch combo that has McDougal backing up. McDougal nods at Prah to acknowledge the strikes. McDougal wants to clinch but Prah slips to the side and Prah counters with a three punch combo that has McDougal backing up. McDougal nods at Prah to acknowledge the strikes. Prah lands with a shot to the body. Prah throws a right and a left that McDougal avoids nicely. Prah moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Prah keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. A little feinted left hand from Prah on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Arturo Prah dominated that second round. That's time! Back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
Prah stuffs the takedown. Prah seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter. McDougal has a pretty nasty looking mouse under his right eye. McDougal throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Prah was covering up waiting for the punch and McDougal finishes the takedown easily into guard. McDougal trying to control but Prah is working from the bottom. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. McDougal slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Prah is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. McDougal has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. McDougal changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Prah looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Prah sneaks out the side door and pushes McDougal away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape. McDougal is looking to take this fight into the clinch. McDougal misses with a takedown attempt and Prah connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
That's two minutes gone in the round. McDougal tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him. McDougal is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
This has been an exciting period of action! McDougal tries to clinch but Prah moves out of range. McDougal misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Prah went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected. Arturo Prah has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Frank McDougal. McDougal takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. An inside leg kick lands from Prah. A nice combination there by Prah.
McDougal dives in for a single leg takedown but Prah sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. McDougal tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Prah manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Prah displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from McDougal. Prah lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Good leg kick by Prah there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
McDougal checks a leg kick. McDougal fails in his attempt to clinch. As McDougal looks to move away, Prah throws a big counter combo but McDougal just gets out of the way. McDougal's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Prah connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! McDougal scrambles back to his feet. McDougal moves in looking to clinch but Prah pushes him off. Prah appears to be looking for a big counter. Prah blocks a head kick by McDougal.
A quick step to the side and Prah tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
That's four minutes gone in the round. McDougal takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Prah takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Prah scores with a jab. McDougal acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Arturo Prah is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. McDougal closes the distance looking to clinch and Prah counters with a straight right hand. McDougal has his takedown stuffed and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. Prah blocks a head kick by McDougal.
Prah was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Frank McDougal has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! McDougal takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
And that's the end of the fight! Arturo Prah showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Prah, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
