Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Donald Evans (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paul Stampfer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
12 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Donald Evans! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
19 - 8 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Paul Stampfer! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Robert Twigg and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Evans tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Stampfer was well out of range. Poor timing from Evans. Evans tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Stampfer manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Stampfer lands with a good body shot. Stampfer moves into the clinch. Evans scores with a shoulder strike. Evans misses with some punches.

Evans is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Stampfer to keep the fight standing. Evans working some nice short punches in the clinch. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! A body shot lands from Evans.

Stampfer breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Stampfer lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Evans at a distance.

Stampfer pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Stampfer tries for a takedown but Evans sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Evans wants to clinch but Stampfer slips to the side and Stampfer counters with a nice double leg into half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Stampfer missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Evans wants to get back to full guard. Stampfer not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Evans wants to sweep but Stampfer has passed to side control! Evans tries to get back to half guard but can't. Stampfer in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. Stampfer working the ground and pound but Evans is defending the strikes. Evans struggling a bit here. Evans is working to avoid the ground and pound but Stampfer connects with a decent elbow.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Stampfer wants to lay and pray for a moment but Evans keeps working. Evans parries the strikes from Stampfer easily there. Stampfer is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Evans to escape.
Stampfer with the ground and pound but Evans regains half guard under the barage of strikes. Stampfer is stalling here. Evans is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Stampfer seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Evans has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Stampfer is trying to work for a sweep but Evans has mounted him! Evans tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Stampfer tries to reverse the position but Evans maintains control. Stampfer is still trying to improve position. Evans trying to control but Stampfer is having none of it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Evans is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Stampfer is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Stampfer manages to regain half guard. Good work. Evans wants to work for an arm triangle but Stampfer is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Evans is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Stampfer is just riding it out for now. Evans eventually gives up the hold. Stampfer wants to control but Evans is keeping busy.
Stampfer has found himself in a tricky position here. He's been working his transitions in training so let's see if he can work his way out of it. Stampfer is looking to escape.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Evans is keen to just control but Stampfer is a slippery customer. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Evans looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Evans trying to control the action but Stampfer is working from the bottom. Stampfer slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Evans wants to control from the top but Stampfer keeps moving. Stampfer looking to sweep here. No luck so far. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Paul Stampfer dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
The fight stays on the outside here - Evans looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Stampfer scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Stampfer takes one on the button. Evans darts in and clinches Stampfer up against the cage. Evans misses with a hook from the clinch. A right hand to the body from Evans.
Evans gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. Stampfer working a defensive guard but Evans manages to pass into side control anyway.
Stampfer struggling a bit here. Stampfer has one of Evans's arms on lockdown, trying to prevent him from doing any damage. Evans wants to control but Stampfer is keeping him busy.
That's one minute gone in the round. Stampfer can't do much from the bottom here. Stampfer tries to bench press Evans off him but Evans keeps the position. Evans wants to control but Stampfer is keeping him busy. Stampfer is positioning himself to get back to half guard. You can see the frustration on Stampfer's face as Evans controls the position. Evans working away. Stampfer is looking for a sweep.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Evans is looking for a kimura. He might have it! Evans wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Stampfer, who protects the arm well. Stampfer is trying to control Evans's posture but Evans avoids it. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

He has the arm isolated but Stampfer is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Evans tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Evans prevents Stampfer from escaping the position. Evans wants to control but Stampfer is keeping him busy. Stampfer is trying to control Evans's posture but Evans avoids it. Donald Evans overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Stampfer is trying to get back to half guard. Stampfer wants to get back to his feet but Evans drags him back down. Evans gets to mount! Stampfer was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Evans controlling the position easily from mount. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Donald Evans dominated that second round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Stampfer closes the distance and clinches up with Evans, looking for a takedown. Stampfer pushes Evans against the cage but Evans circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Evans lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Evans cracks a nice hook into Stampfer's ribs. Stampfer throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Evans sees it coming and avoids it easily. Stampfer throws a lazy uppercut
letting Evans counter with a right hand. Stampfer closes the distance but Evans moves to the side and Evans counters with a nice uppercut. Evans cracks Stampfer with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Stampfer is rocked! Stampfer wants to clinch up but Evans keeps it at a distance. Stampfer is still on wobbly legs! Can Evans finish him? Evans drops a shoulder and throws a monster hook that connects perfectly to the side of Stampfer's head, knocking him out cold! Evans is extatic as he celebrates with his cornermen.
