Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Brian Grimes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dennis Nilsen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Grimes comes to the cage accompanied by "Cyanide" by Metallica. Dennis Nilsen has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Dennis Nilsen! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Gwen Towbar and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Grimes ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Grimes is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Nilsen. Grimes takes a swing at Nilsen's ribcage but misses. Nice defenses there by Grimes. Grimes looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Grimes fails to land with a series of punches.
Grimes keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Nilsen. Nilsen throws a series of punches but Grimes avoids them all with ease. Nilsen rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Grimes moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Grimes takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. and Grimes cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. The fighters circling - Nilsen throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Nilsen blocks a jab. Nilsen lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Grimes throws out a loose jab but Nilsen uses good head movement to avoid it. Nilsen fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Grimes to the ground. Nilsen is now in Grimes's guard. Nilsen is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Nilsen postures up.

Grimes knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Nilsen on the ground. Nilsen pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Nicely done. Nilsen pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Grimes back to the cage. Nilsen follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Grimes leaves Nilsen with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Grimes lands a body shot.
Nilsen has tried to improve his agility in the runup to this fight. A swing and a miss from Grimes. Grimes with a jab. Grimes throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Nilsen connects with a looping right hand.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Brian Grimes will probably get the nod. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Nilsen moves away from the strike by Grimes. Nilsen lunges at Grimes with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Grimes's hand. Grimes throws a poor cross that misses
and Nilsen connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Grimes cracks Nilsen with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Nilsen keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Grimes uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Nilsen has time to react.
It looks like Dennis Nilsen has been cut. Grimes walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Nilsen tries to bum rush Grimes with a series of wild strikes but Grimes uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Grimes misses with an uppercut. Nilsen slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Nilsen keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Grimes fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Nilsen manages to avoid it. Grimes throws out a loose jab but Nilsen uses good head movement to avoid it. Nilsen lands a really nice looking cross but Grimes seems unphased.

Nilsen changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Grimes seems to have got his legs back now. Grimes uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Nilsen.
Grimes swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. A little jabbing left from Nilsen on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Nilsen displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Grimes throws out the jab. A big left from Grimes misses. Nilsen might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. Nilsen drives through with a takedown into Grimes's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
