Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Toby Quail! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, David Sale! The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Lou da Vinci and Bruno Lombardi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Quail tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Sale defends well and Quail ends up having to push Sale into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Quail throws a leg kick but Sale checks it. Sale stuffs the takedown attempt from Quail. Quail gets slowly back to his feet. Sale throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Sale throws a nice looking combination but Quail bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Sale catches Quail with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
It looks like Toby Quail has been cut. Quail fails with a takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Toby Quail. That's going to take a lot out of him. Quail throws a hook but Sale avoids it easily. Quail throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Sale sees it coming and avoids it easily. Sale rushes Quail and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Quail blocks an uppercut.
Quail prevents a body shot from Sale. Sale lands a nice uppercut. Sale lands with a light punch inside. Sale prevents a body shot from Quail. This has been an exciting period of action! A short right from Sale on the inside.

That's one minute gone in the round. Sale pushes Quail back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. Oh Quail is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Sale is leaning against Quail and scores with a nice uppercut to the body. Quail is breathing heavily. Sale is leaning against Quail and scores with a nice uppercut to the body. Sale pushes Quail against the cage. Sale is working some dirty boxing. Sale pushes off with a quick right hook! Quail goes down! Quail tries to stand but stumbles back to his kness! Sale moves in to finish and the ref steps in to prevent any more damage!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:15 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). David Sale! A relieved looking David Sale thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
