Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between JoJo Monsoon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dai Thomas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Thomas is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Killing In The Name. JoJo Monsoon has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, JoJo Monsoon! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Dai Thomas! The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Jonathan Paton and Jorge Garcia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Thomas misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Monsoon.
Monsoon throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Thomas throws a hook but Monsoon blocks it. Thomas scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Monsoon doesn't seem bothered though. Monsoon takes a body punch but keeps moving. Monsoon misses with a hook. The fighters circling - Thomas throws out the jab but it was never going to land. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Monsoon takes one to the chin there. Thomas misses with a straight right. Monsoon tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Thomas manages to circle out of the way. Thomas closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
That's one minute gone in the round. Monsoon throws a right and a left that both miss. Thomas looks to throw the jab but Monsoon is out of range. Monsoon half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Thomas will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Monsoon lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Thomas backs up against the cage.
Thomas jabs at Monsoon's body. Thomas scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Thomas staying out of range there. Monsoon connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Thomas momentarily.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Thomas moves away from the strike by Monsoon. A jab from Thomas does it's job there. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Nice defenses there by Thomas. Monsoon lands a really nice looking cross but Thomas seems unphased.
Thomas moves out of range of the strikes. A countering left hand to the body from Thomas misses. Monsoon lands with a hook. Thomas tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Monsoon jabs Thomas right on the nose. Thomas blinks but takes it well. Monsoon is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all. A telegraphed right hand from Monsoon misses the target. Monsoon is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Thomas.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Monsoon throws a hook but Thomas blocks it. Thomas throws out a counter right but Monsoon avoids it with no problem. Thomas looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Thomas lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Monsoon misses with an uppercut. Thomas saw that one coming. Thomas scores with a jab to the jaw. A jab from Monsoon misses. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Thomas! But no joy. Monsoon throws a hook but Thomas blocks it. JoJo Monsoon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Thomas staying out of range there. Thomas avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Thomas lands a right hook to the body.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A slow jab from Monsoon misses its intended target. Monsoon loads up on a big right hand but Thomas slips the punch. Thomas just misses with a punch to the body.
Monsoon half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Thomas lands a jab to the nose. Thomas uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Monsoon. A solid leg kick lands there for Thomas.
A telegraphed right hand from Monsoon misses the target. A little jabbing left from Thomas on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Monsoon lands an overhand right. Thomas misses with a body shot.
Thomas staying out of range there. Thomas looks like he wants to counter punch here. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that JoJo Monsoon will probably get the nod. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Thomas bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Thomas throws out a counter right but Monsoon avoids it with no problem. Monsoon looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Thomas scores with a jab. Thomas comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Thomas dodges the punch combination from Monsoon.

Thomas connects with a jab. Monsoon tries to bum rush Thomas with a series of wild strikes but Thomas uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Monsoon throws a big shot that misses. It seemed like Thomas was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Thomas throws a hook to the side of Monsoon's head but Monsoon sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Monsoon drops down looking for a counter takedown but Thomas sprawls and moves away. Monsoon takes one on the chin but seems OK.

Thomas wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Monsoon checks the leg kick nicely there.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Thomas lands a jab to Monsoon's midsection. A telegraphed right hand from Thomas misses the target. Nice shot lands for Thomas. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Dai Thomas showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!
Monsoon drops his hands momentarily and Thomas takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Monsoon jabbing away but nothing is landing. Monsoon throws a lazy right hand but Thomas sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Thomas scores with a nice strike. Monsoon misses with a hook. Thomas takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Thomas scores with a body shot.

Monsoon is rocked! Thomas pounces like a tiger and cracks Monsoon with a vicious hook! Monsoon is down but not out! Thomas follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:59 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Dai Thomas! A less than humble Dai Thomas misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
