Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between James Marley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sendou Kitano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kitano has chosen Yoshida Brothers - Ibuki as his entrance music. James Marley could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Sendou Kitano's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, James Marley!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Sendou Kitano!
The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Alyssa Summers and Bruno Lombardi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kitano misses with a looping left.
Marley looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Kitano blocks the body kick.
James Marley seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Marley throws a leg kick but Kitano checks it.
Marley needs to keep his hands up - Kitano had a free shot at his head there.
Kitano throws an off balance right hand
and Marley counters with a series of strikes. Kitano will be more careful next time no doubt.
Marley slips a straight right by Kitano.
It looked like Marley was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

Marley shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Kitano's guard.
Marley wants to control from the top but Kitano keeps moving.
Marley throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Kitano wants to sweep here but Marley controlling him for the moment.
Marley content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Kitano looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Marley keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Kitano's head.


It looks like Sendou Kitano has been cut.
Marley tries to free his leg and advance position but Kitano is retaining full guard.
Kitano has his hands on Marley's head, controlling the position.
Marley is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Kitano is trying to control the position from the bottom.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Marley lands a front kick.
Kitano slips a jab and a cross from Marley.
A little jabbing left from Kitano on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Marley.
Kitano takes a swing at Marley's ribcage but misses.
Kitano throws out a loose jab but Marley uses good head movement to avoid it.

Marley fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Kitano, pushing him back against the cage.
Kitano prevents a body shot from Marley.
Kitano misses with a hook to the ribs.
Kitano has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Marley misses with a punch on the inside.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Kitano.
Marley blocks a body shot from Kitano.

Kitano breaks the clinch.
Marley is looking to score with low kicks.
Marley misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Marley throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
A countering left hand to the body from Kitano misses.
A thudding body kick lands there by Marley!
Kitano circles away from the clinch attempt.
Sendou Kitano is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Marley looks to land a left hand but Kitano moved out of range nicely.
Marley gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Kitano connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Marley throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
A nice side step and Kitano releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
Marley lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
We've been told by Marley's head coaches at [LOD]Berlin Giants that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Marley missing with a left hand there. Kitano was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Kitano smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Marley thuds his shin into the meat of Kitano's side.
Kitano misses the jab.
Sloppy strikes from Marley. Those never looked like landing.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The cut man is working on Sendou Kitano's cut.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Marley misses with a hook. Kitano ducked under it nicely.
Marley looks to throw a body kick
and Kitano connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Marley tries to clinch but Kitano moves out of range.
Kitano takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Marley throws a nice inside leg kick.
Marley throws out a powerful jab.


That has opened up Sendou Kitano's cut even more.
Marley scores with a kick to the body.
Marley is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Kitano can do to turn this around?
Marley wants to clinch up but Kitano keeps it at a distance.
As Marley backs off Kitano throws a huge counter combo but Marley manages to avoid it all.
Kitano takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kitano cracks Marley with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Marley has a couple of punches blocked by Kitano.
Kitano throws a punch but it's blocked by Marley.
Marley lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Kitano backwards.
Marley lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Kitano.
Kitano is breathing heavily.

Kitano misses with a punch on the inside.
Marley lands a right hand that snaps the head of Kitano backwards.


The cut above Sendou Kitano's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Marley misses with the head strike.
A right handed body shot lands from Marley.
A body shot lands from Marley.

Marley drops Kitano with a big right hand! Marley charges in looking to finish - Kitano manages to keep Marley in his guard and seems to have recovered somewhat.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Kitano is still in real trouble! Can Marley finish him?
Marley forces his way into half guard.
Kitano seems to have recovered his senses.
Marley is figuring out what he wants to do next.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Marley wants to pass the guard but Kitano is defending well.

Marley is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Kitano regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Marley.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Kitano has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Marley has passed into side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Marley throws an elbow but Kitano slips to the side and avoids it well.

Marley swings around for an armbar but Kitano sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Marley's guard.
Marley looking to hit a scissor sweep but Kitano is one step ahead there.
Marley seems keen to control Kitano's posture.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

James Marley dominated that second round.
The cut man is working on Sendou Kitano's cut.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!


Kitano connects with a crisp jab.
Marley moves away from the strike by Kitano.
Marley lands a jab to the head.
Marley lands a nice leg kick that just misses Kitano's sensitive parts.
Marley throws a push kick but Kitano slaps the foot to one side.
It seemed like Kitano was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

and Marley cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Kitano looks to throw the jab but Marley is out of range.
Kitano scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

Sendou Kitano's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
Marley throws a push kick but Kitano slaps the foot to one side.
Kitano looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Kitano steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Marley.
A little jabbing left from Kitano on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Marley throws a combination that misses
and Kitano counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Marley moves into the clinch.

A left hand lands to the body for Marley.
Kitano takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Kitano takes a shot to the head.
Marley pushes Kitano back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
James Marley has scored more points in the clinch so far.

Marley jumps into guard, dragging Kitano to the mat.
Kitano has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Marley is proving hard to escape from.
James Marley overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Marley is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Marley is on top in guard.

Marley sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Marley is looking to pass into half guard but Kitano pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Kitano is in guard.

Marley wants to sweep here but Kitano controlling him for the moment.
Kitano wants to stand but Marley has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Kitano would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Marley seems keen to control Kitano's posture.
Sendou Kitano has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
James Marley is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Kitano stops Marley from standing up.
Marley pulls Kitano in close to his closed guard and prevents Kitano from doing any damage or advancing position.
Marley tries to land a sweep but no joy.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Some wild striking there from Marley.
Kitano uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Marley.
James Marley is winning the standup battle so far.
Kitano moves out of range as Marley strikes.
A nice leg kick lands there from Marley.
Kitano swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Kitano might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

Marley shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Kitano tries to kick Marley off but Marley keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

And that's the end of the fight!
James Marley showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Marley has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
