Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Yuri Kyznetsov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Maxfield Blakowitz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Yuri Kyznetsov has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Yuri Kyznetsov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Maxfield Blakowitz!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Tiny Johnson and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kyznetsov gets tackled into the cage by Blakowitz. Blakowitz maintains the clinch.

Blakowitz jumps guard and drags Kyznetsov to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Kyznetsov stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Blakowitz swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Kyznetsov seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Kyznetsov on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Kyznetsov shoots in looking for a takedown. Blakowitz tries to sprawl out of it but Kyznetsov keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Blakowitz manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Blakowitz bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Blakowitz closes the distance and clinches.

Blakowitz breaks from the clinch.

Blakowitz fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Kyznetsov sprawls well initially but Blakowitz persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Kyznetsov manages to escape and get back to his feet!

Blakowitz shoots in and bounces Kyznetsov off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Blakowitz shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Kyznetsov's guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Kyznetsov really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

That was a close round but I would say that Yuri Kyznetsov will probably get the nod.

Blakowitz misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Kyznetsov wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.

Kyznetsov takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.

Kyznetsov is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Blakowitz pulls his head out easily.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Kyznetsov shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Blakowitz pinned against the cage. Blakowitz gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

A momentary lapse in concentration from Kyznetsov enables Blakowitz to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Kyznetsov manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Maxfield Blakowitz showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!

Kyznetsov is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Blakowitz throws a sloppy strike and Kyznetsov has hooked up an armbar on the loose arm! He's turned and extended fully! Blakowitz is forced to tap! Great BJJ from Kyznetsov!
