Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Karl Lynn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Mcgreagor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Karl Lynn! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, John Mcgreagor ! The judges for this bout are Darius Henderson, Donatello Bradman and Ron Honeybunn.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mcgreagor has Lynn up against the cage in a clinch.
Mcgreagor gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. Lynn manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Mcgreagor looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Lynn! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Mcgreagor swings around for an armbar but Lynn sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Mcgreagor 's guard. Lynn in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Lynn is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Mcgreagor looking for a sweep. Not yet Mcgreagor , not yet. Mcgreagor manages to escape and get back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mcgreagor feints and as Lynn raises his hands in defense, Mcgreagor changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Lynn is controlling Mcgreagor 's posture. Lynn looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Mcgreagor puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. Lynn could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Lynn controlling the position well. Lynn gets back to full guard.
Mcgreagor won't allow Lynn to sweep him here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lynn is working hard here to advance position. Mcgreagor trying to control but Lynn is working from the bottom. Mcgreagor is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Mcgreagor controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Mcgreagor trying to control but Lynn is working from the bottom.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Mcgreagor throws a nice looking combination but Lynn bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Lynn with a hook.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mcgreagor drives through with a takedown into Lynn's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Mcgreagor is standing up over Lynn. Lynn looks to escape but Mcgreagor dives into side control.
Mcgreagor goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Lynn rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Mcgreagor 's guard! Nice work there by Lynn! Lynn prevents Mcgreagor from getting back to his feet. Mcgreagor wants to improve his position but instead Lynn has moved into half guard.
Mcgreagor has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Lynn is working away from the top position though. Lynn takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Lynn missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Lynn throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Lynn is controlling the pace.
Lynn seems to be looking for submissions.
Lynn lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Karl Lynn will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Lynn gets in close and instigates a clinch. Mcgreagor tightens his grip and picks Lynn up, before dumping him to the ground. Lynn manages to land in guard. Lynn is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Mcgreagor wants to improve his position but Lynn is controlling well.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mcgreagor is trying to stand up here but Lynn is controlling him well. Mcgreagor is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Lynn scores with a couple of nice shots. Nice strikes from Lynn there.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Mcgreagor looking for a sweep. Not yet Mcgreagor , not yet. Lynn is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Mcgreagor trying to keep a closed guard but Lynn is proving a slippery customer.
Lynn lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Mcgreagor working a defensive guard but Lynn passes into half guard.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Mcgreagor clinches. Mcgreagor pulls guard successfully.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mcgreagor pulls Lynn in close to prevent any damage. Mcgreagor is trying to control the position but Lynn postures up. Mcgreagor throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
Karl Lynn overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Lynn wants to control from the top but Mcgreagor keeps moving. Mcgreagor is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Lynn is aware though and is defending well. Mcgreagor is breathing heavily. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Mcgreagor trying to control the position.

Karl Lynn dominated that second round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!
Mcgreagor swings and misses with a shot to the body letting Lynn counter with a right hand. John Mcgreagor is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Lynn drives through and clinches with Mcgreagor against the cage.
Lynn pulls guard. Mcgreagor throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Mcgreagor showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Lynn is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lynn keeping moving, preventing Mcgreagor from controlling successfully. Lynn is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Mcgreagor clobbers Lynn with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Mcgreagor dives in and scores a takedown into Lynn's guard. Mcgreagor trying to control the position from guard on top but Lynn is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Lynn holds on and takes a little breather.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mcgreagor wants to control from the top but Lynn keeps moving. Mcgreagor loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Lynn looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Mcgreagor would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lynn closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Lynn jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Mcgreagor walks away with a smile on his face. Lynn gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Mcgreagor rushes Lynn and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Lynn fails to pull guard.
Lynn is trying to pull guard but Mcgreagor has him pressed against the cage. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Karl Lynn. That's going to take a lot out of him. Mcgreagor pulls Lynn into guard.
Lynn throws a big elbow that misses. Mcgreagor looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Lynn has picked Mcgreagor up and slammed him! Mcgreagor can't keep hold of the triangle and Lynn manages to pass to side control! Mcgreagor is trying to get back to half guard. Mcgreagor takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mcgreagor taking a bit of punishment here - Lynn scoring with strikes. Mcgreagor is working to avoid the ground and pound but Lynn connects with a decent elbow. Mcgreagor is looking for a sweep. Lynn is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Mcgreagor knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Lynn controls the position.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Karl Lynn. Well Lynn has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win...
