The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rage scores with a takedown into Jackson's guard. Jackson trying to keep a closed guard but Rage is proving a slippery customer.
Rage sitting in guard, not really doing much. Rage won't allow Jackson to sweep him here. Rage is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Rage's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Kevin Rage just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Rage fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Rage throws a series of punches but Jackson avoids them all with ease. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Jackson, as that shot connected.
Rage looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Jackson is fending him off so far but Rage persists. Nope, Jackson circles away and we're back to standing. Jackson connects with a jab. Jackson shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Jackson looks gassed!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rage tries to hold on but Jackson pushes him away. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Rage can't escape the position.
Jackson has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Rage's face.

Jackson is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Rage can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Jackson lands a nice shot to the head.

Rage is working hard here to advance position. Rage regains half guard. Rage moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Jackson trying to control but Rage is working from the bottom. Rage is controlling Jackson's posture. Rage lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Jackson!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rage has hold of Jackson's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Jackson manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Rage sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Jackson can do anything to dispel that myth. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. A nice elbow there by Rage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Quinton Jackson dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Rage shoots in for a takedown but Jackson shows good takedown defense. Rage has his takedown stuffed and Jackson counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Rage! Jackson lands a big elbow. Rage is trying to escape the mount.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Rage slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Jackson is fighting to break Rage's control of his arms but Rage is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Jackson must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Rage trying to control the position.
Rage wants to sweep but no luck. Jackson postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Jackson wants to stand but Rage is controlling his posture from full guard. Rage working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Jackson doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Jackson manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Rage working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Jackson.

Jackson takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Rage controlling from the full mount. Rage has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

A close second round but Quinton Jackson will probably get the nod - 10:9. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

Jackson wants to pass the guard but Rage is keeping the position. Rage manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Jackson manages to get himself to full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rage stands and throws Jackson's legs to the side, diving into side control. Jackson tries to buck Rage off but Rage is having none of it. A lull in the action here as Rage stalls from top position. Rage thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Jackson is trying to control Rage's posture but Rage avoids it. Jackson is trying to escape the position but Rage is controlling the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jackson sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Quinton Jackson has got the better of the ground game so far. Rage scoring with strikes to the body and head. Rage is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Rage looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Jackson with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Rage keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Jackson wants to improve his position but Rage is controlling well.
Rage decides to return to a standing position. A head kick misses from Rage. Rage fails with a takedown attempt from distance. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kevin Rage. That's going to take a lot out of him. Jackson lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Kevin Rage has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Rage throws a series of punches but Jackson avoids them all with ease.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jackson has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Rage is looking to land body kicks. Jackson works Rage's body with a nice hook. Jackson drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Rage keeping moving, preventing Jackson from controlling successfully. Rage utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Rage manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Jackson manages to get himself to full guard.
Jackson has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Rage is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Jackson. Rage scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Jackson to see if he's OK.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Kevin Rage. I think Jackson has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
