Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Zurgadai Jebe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Neculai Costel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Costel is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Ain't No Sunshine. Zurgadai Jebe has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
8 - 2 - 1, fighting out of London, Zurgadai Jebe!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
12 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Neculai Costel!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Chris Edwards and Phil Schofield.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some bone on bone action there as Jebe checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Costel fails with a takedown attempt.
Costel blocks a jab.
Nice takedown defense from Jebe. No joy for Costel on that attempt.
Jebe throws a good cross that connects.
Costel shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
It looked like Jebe wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Zurgadai Jebe has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Neculai Costel.
No luck for Costel with that takedown attempt.
Costel tries to keep at a distance but Jebe has taken the fight into the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jebe lands an uppercut.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Jebe.
Jebe blocking some punches.
A head punch on the inside from Costel fails to land.
Jebe breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Jebe throws a shot from downtown. Costel moves away and avoids it.
Costel feints the counter takedown.
Jebe throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.

Costel is rocked!
Jebe avoids a kick to the body.
Costel is still on wobbly legs! Can Jebe finish him?
Costel shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Jebe sprawls well. Jebe wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Costel gets slowly back to his feet.
Costel has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
BOOM! Jebe lands a beautiful left hook that drops Costel. Costel tries to recover but Jebe is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Costel lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Zurgadai Jebe!

Neculai Costel was interviewed post fight and said 'You win some, you lose some. I have to give it to Hess, he was sneakyer tonight.'.
