Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Diego Lupertazzi! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Caniel Dormier! The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Yukihiro Shimada and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lupertazzi does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Dormier tries to clinch but Lupertazzi moves out of range. No joy there for Dormier, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Lupertazzi keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Dormier thows a left - swing and a miss! Lupertazzi looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Lupertazzi scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Dormier misses with a kick to the body and Lupertazzi counters with a one-two to the body. Dormier closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Dormier misses with a wild combination.
Lupertazzi lands a jab to the head.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Lupertazzi closes the distance and clinches. Lupertazzi lands a left hand that snaps the head of Dormier backwards. Lupertazzi lands with a short shot to the head. Dormier tries to land a knee to the head but Lupertazzi blocks with his arms.
Dormier wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lupertazzi goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
A frustrated look appears on Dormier's face as he tries to break the clinch. Dormier with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
A short uppercut from Lupertazzi. Lupertazzi lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage. Lupertazzi lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Dormier. Dormier wants to get back to striking at distance but Lupertazzi won't allow it.
Lupertazzi lands a shoulder strike. A short body shot lands from Lupertazzi as the two fighters clinch.
The referee calls for Lupertazzi to work.
Lupertazzi pushes Dormier back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. Lupertazzi breaks from the clinch.
Lupertazzi scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Lupertazzi tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Dormier swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Lupertazzi counters with a stiff right hand. Lupertazzi lands with a right hand.
Dormier is rocked! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Dormier checks a low kick from Lupertazzi.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lupertazzi keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Dormier is still on wobbly legs! Can Lupertazzi finish him? Dormier takes a body punch but keeps moving. Dormier seems to have recovered his senses. Lupertazzi with a jab. Lupertazzi circles away from the clinch attempt.
Diego Lupertazzi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Lupertazzi jabs at Dormier's body. Dormier throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Lupertazzi lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Lupertazzi pushes Dormier up against the cage in a clinch. Dormier takes a shot to the head. A nice left hand lands by Lupertazzi.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Dormier wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Lupertazzi blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Lupertazzi lands a hook to the side of the head. Lupertazzi prevents Dormier from breaking the clinch. Lupertazzi lands a body punch. Dormier looks winded! Lupertazzi scores with a nice hook to the head. A hook to the body from Lupertazzi.
We've been informed that Dormier has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight. Dormier tries to break free but Lupertazzi pushes him back against the cage. Lupertazzi breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Lupertazzi lands a left and a right that send Dormier crashing to the mat, dazed. Lupertazzi thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Lupertazzi throws an overhand right that drops Dormier like a sack of potatoes! Lupertazzi dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!
