Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Delbert Berg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gregorio Del Pilar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Gregorio Del Pilar!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Robert Douchet and Alec Ball.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Berg manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Del Pilar feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Berg is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Del Pilar presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.

Del Pilar is trying to get back to his feet but Berg has full control of the position and if anything, Del Pilar has just worked his way into a worse spot.
Berg will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Berg lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Delbert Berg.
Well Berg has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
