Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Kapow Babow! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Bryce Fellows! The judges for this bout are Darius Henderson, Francis DeMontford and John Mangel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fellows pushing out the jab but it's not landing. A shot to the liver by Babow. Beautiful body shot. Babow keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Excellent takedown into side control there by Fellows. Fellows working away. Fellows scores with a couple of short elbows. Fellows is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Babow will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. An elbow from Fellows crashes against the mat.
Babow struggling a bit here. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The strikes coming from Fellows are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fellows working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Fellows is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. Fellows lands a decent elbow from side control. Babow gets back to half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Babow is trying to get back to full guard. Fellows is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Babow has managed to free his arm - good work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fellows is taking a breather. Babow says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Babow is defending against the submission attempts here by Fellows.
Fellows working Babow over with strikes. Babow is looking for a sweep. Fellows is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Fellows trying to control the pace.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fellows is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Babow on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Babow trying to keep hold of his opponent's head but Fellows manages to pass to mount!
Babow wants to try and get back to his feet. Fellows tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Fellows with the ground and pound from mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Fellows working for a guillotine from mount but Babow is in no mood to give up. A nice elbow there by Fellows. Fellows content just to control the position here. Babow can't escape the position.
Fellows is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Babow to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Babow shrugs it off. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Fellows controlling from mount. Fellows working for a guillotine from mount but Babow is in no mood to give up. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Bryce Fellows dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Fellows looks for the body kick but Babow saw that one coming. Babow misses with a few strikes there.
Fellows has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Danga de danga de dang - Babow scores with a four punch combination! Fellows moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Babow throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Kapow Babow seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Babow works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Babow works over Fellows's head and body with a nice combination. Babow looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Fellows unleashes a big counter combination but Babow bobs and weaves and avoids any damage. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Fellows looks for a takedown but Babow sprawls well. Fellows closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
That's one minute gone in the round. The referee tells the fighters to keep busy. Fellows advances nicely into full mount. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Fellows controlling the position easily from mount. Babow is looking to improve his position but Fellows isn't that keen on the idea. Fellows controlling from mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Fellows landing punches. Fellows controlling from mount. Fellows is continuing to stall. Fellows dominating with strikes here. Fellows controlling the position easily from mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fellows working for a submission but Babow is keeping him at bay. Fellows unloading with bombs! Fellows breaks from Babow's wrist control and lands an elbow.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Fellows jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Babow manages to avoid the submission attempt. Fellows decides to stand back up. Fellows misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Fellows closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Babow to the mat! Babow manages to get full guard. Fellows trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Babow really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Fellows sitting in guard, not really doing much. Babow is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Bryce Fellows will probably get the nod - 10:9. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!
Babow scores with a nice strike. Fellows changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Babow looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Babow is trying to control Fellows's posture but Fellows avoids it. Babow is trying to buck Fellows off. Fellows tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Fellows staying calm.
That's one minute gone in the round. Babow manages to get back to half guard. Fellows controlling the pace. Fellows stands up from half guard. Babow tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Fellows paws at him with a jab and circles away. The fight stays on the outside here - Babow looks like he's thinking about clinching though. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Fellows! But no joy.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Fellows showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Babow.
Fellows takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Babow leaves Fellows with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Fellows shoots for a takedown but Babow saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Fellows takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Babow fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Babow throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Babow throws a series of strikes that have Fellows backpedaling.
Babow tries to clinch but fails miserably and Fellows counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Babow thinking. Babow jabs at Fellows's body.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Babow swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Babow ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Babow throws a nice looking combination but Fellows bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Fellows throws a big shot that misses. Sloppy strikes from Babow. Those never looked like landing. Babow looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Babow moves in looking to clinch but Fellows pushes him off. Fellows drives through with a takedown into Babow's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Fellows content to stall in guard here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Babow is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Kapow Babow has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Fellows sitting in guard here, content to control.
And that's the end of the fight! Kapow Babow showed his dominance in that final round. I think Fellows has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
