Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jacque Schtrappe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wolfram Stelzer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Schtrappe comes to the cage accompanied by Nitzer Ebb - Violent Playground. Stelzer is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Satyricon - K.I.N.G.. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

45 - 27 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Jacque Schtrappe! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
19 - 14 - 1, fighting out of New York, Wolfram Stelzer! The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Daniel Franklin and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Stelzer gets a double leg takedown into Schtrappe's guard. Stelzer is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Stelzer lands a couple of elbows. Stelzer stops Schtrappe from standing up. Schtrappe utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Schtrappe is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Stelzer is controlling him. Stelzer sitting in guard here, content to control. Stelzer has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Stelzer slips nicely into half guard, despite the strikes coming from Schtrappe. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Stelzer content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Stelzer throwing shots but Schtrappe is blocking nicely.

Stelzer lands a big shot there that rocks Schtrappe but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

The fight stays on the outside here - Stelzer looks like he's thinking about clinching though. A nice inside leg kick there by Stelzer. That's going to slow Schtrappe down. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Schtrappe checks a leg kick nicely. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Schtrappe works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Stelzer takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Stelzer's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Schtrappe connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Stelzer scrambles back to his feet. A clash of legs there as Schtrappe blocks the low kick. Stelzer wants to clinch up but Schtrappe keeps it at a distance. Stelzer checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. Schtrappe misses with a hook

Schtrappe throws a series of punches but Stelzer avoids them all with ease. Stelzer takes the fight into the clinch. Schtrappe prevents a body shot from Stelzer. Stelzer is looking to control Schtrappe's arms but Schtrappe gets an underhook and turns him. Now Stelzer has his back to the cage. Schtrappe successfully pulls guard.

That's one minute gone in the round. Stelzer wants to control from the top but Schtrappe keeps moving. Schtrappe tries to land a sweep but no joy. Stelzer has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at LOD - Phoenix Mixed Martial Arts. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one. Stelzer postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Stelzer looking to pass the guard. Stelzer trying to control the position from guard on top but Schtrappe is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Stelzer slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Stelzer throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Schtrappe works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure. Stelzer is trying to control the action in half guard but Schtrappe is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Stelzer is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Schtrappe! Schtrappe working to try and regain half guard.
Schtrappe manages to regain half guard. Good work. Stelzer is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Schtrappe bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Stelzer's guard.
Schtrappe might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Schtrappe makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Stelzer is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Schtrappe is aware though and is defending well. Stelzer has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Schtrappe takes a decent strike to the side of the head. Stelzer is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

That was a close second round but I would say that Jacque Schtrappe will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Stelzer will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Schtrappe up against the cage. Stelzer tries to score a body lock takedown but Schtrappe shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Schtrappe has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Stelzer regains guard immediately. Schtrappe is looking to work some ground and pound but Stelzer has wrist control. Stelzer is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Stelzer is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Schtrappe is aware though and is defending well. Stelzer is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Schtrappe has his hands clasped together but Stelzer extends and breaks Schtrappe's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Stelzer.
