Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ruslan Mstislav Volkov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Danny White (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Danny White enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
16 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Ruslan Mstislav Volkov! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
17 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Danny White! The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Paul Gruel and Josh West.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! White lands with a cross. White tries to clinch up. White avoids the head kick by Volkov.
Volkov tries to land a front kick but White steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. White connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Volkov momentarily.
White blocks a jab. Volkov throws a wild combination but nothing lands. White throws a nice outside leg kick. Volkov on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. White feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Volkov controls White momentarily but White frees himself. Volkov preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. White stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Volkov swivels though and keeps the full guard. Volkov preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Volkov keeping moving, preventing White from controlling successfully. White preventing the sweep. Volkov pulls White in close to prevent any damage. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Volkov has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but White has passed into side control.

That's two minutes gone in the round. White in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. Volkov manages to work his way to half guard, despite White's best efforts. White slips a nice elbow through Volkov's hands, connecting with Volkov's forehead. White scoring with strikes to the body and head. White wants to control but Volkov is keeping him busy. White sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Volkov defending well though. White has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. White avoids the attempt from Volkov to control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. White pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. White working the ground and pound effectively.
Volkov is rocked! White has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Volkov is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. White looking to control but Volkov is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. White scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Volkov?

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Danny White! A less than humble Danny White misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
