The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rodriguez looks for the body kick but Reynolds saw that one coming.

Rodriguez shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Reynolds is looking to get back to is feet but Rodriguez passes into side control.
Rodriguez tries to stand but Reynolds is controlling his head.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Rodriguez tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Rodriguez has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Rodriguez takes a little break here. Reynolds wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Reynolds bucks up and tries to throw Rodriguez off but instead Rodriguez has got his back!

Rodriguez just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.
Let's hope that Rodriguez has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Rodriguez's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Reynolds is trying to remain composed but Rodriguez is hammering down strikes to the side of his head.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Reynolds is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.
