Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jon Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ethan Carter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ethan Carter will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Jon Jones!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ethan Carter!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Sam Margolis and Andrew Berry.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Jones feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Carter's calf.
Jones misses with a few strikes there.
An inside leg kick lands from Jones.
Carter takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Jones clobbers Carter with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Jones throws a body punch but Carter moves out of range.
Jones misses with a wild body shot.
Jones circles away from the clinch attempt.
Carter on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Carter dodges the punch combination from Jones.
Despite the aggression on Carter's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Jones turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.

Carter takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Jones bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Carter's head.
Jones lands with a nice body punch.
Carter has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Jones.
Carter is looking to clinch.
Jones lands a nice looking kick to the body. Carter takes a step back to recover.
Jones throws a quick inside leg kick.
Jones clobbers Carter with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Both fighters circling a little - Jones finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Carter takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Carter takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Nice body kick from Jones.
Jones is breathing heavily.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Jones, right into the meat.
Carter takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Jones jabs Carter to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Jones looks to throw the jab but Carter is out of range.
Carter throws out a counter right but Jones avoids it with no problem.
Carter goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Jones goes for a high kick. It partially lands.

Carter tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Jones paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Jon Jones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jones misses with a looping left.
Jones scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Carter doesn't seem bothered though.
Jones works Carter's body with a nice hook.
Jones looks to land a combination but Carter avoids it well.
Carter darts in looking for a takedown but Jones gets double underhooks and turns Carter into the cage.
Carter is looking to clinch but Jones is avoiding it.
Jones circles away from the clinch attempt.
Jones lands a head kick. Carter smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

Jones pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Jon Jones is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Carter shoots in looking for a takedown but Jones manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Carter's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Jones thuds his right hand into Carter's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Jones changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
A solid leg kick lands there for Jones.
Jones feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Carter's calf.
Carter keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Jones.
Jones connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Jones moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The cut man is working on Ethan Carter's cut.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Jones uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Jones cracks a nice hook into Carter's ribs.
Carter tries to clinch but Jones is having none of it.
Jones throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Carter.
Jon Jones is winning the standup battle so far.
Jones misses with a jab, cross combination.
A nice side step and Carter releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
Carter doesn't manage to clinch there - Jones circles away.
Jones throws a lazy right hand but Carter sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Carter throws a counter combo.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jones avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Jones bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Carter takes a kick to the side of the head.
Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with eachother but Carter might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, Jones has got the better of the exchanges.

Carter shoots in for a takedown but Jones shows good takedown defense.
Jones fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
A decent looking cross lands there for Jones.
Jones lands a head shot.
Jones lands a head kick!
Carter tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Jones pulls out of a head kick attempt.
And Carter tries to counter it with a takedown but Jones pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Carter tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Carter avoids the head kick by Jones.
Carter appeared to try and counter that last move with a leg kick.
Jones throws a lazy uppercut
and Carter counters with a straight right hand.
Carter tries to clinch up but Jones circles away and keeps his distance.
Jones went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Jones fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Jones throws a head kick that misses.
Carter has a takedown stuffed.
Jones throws a nice head kick!

That's three minutes gone in the round.
A jab from Jones finds it's way through Carter's defenses.
Jones lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
The fight stays on the outside here - Carter looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Jones is looking to counter with head kicks.
Jones tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Carter's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
Carter is looking to clinch.

Carter takes the fight into the clinch.
Carter is trying desperately to land a takedown but Jones is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Carter.
Jones is trying to break the clinch but Carter has him pressed against the cage.

Carter tries to land knees in the clinch but Jones avoids the damage to the body.

Carter escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Jones lands a glancing blow to the side of Carter's head.
Jones lands with a hook. Carter tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Jones throws the left hand but Carter avoids the punch easily.
Ethan Carter is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Jones circles away from the clinch attempt.
Jones swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Carter throws a counter combo.
Carter tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Jones manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The cut man is working on Ethan Carter's cut.
That's time! Jones's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!


Jones avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Jones throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Jones lands a front kick.
Carter takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Jones lands a high kick!
Jones loads up on a big right hand but Carter slips the punch.
Carter fails in his attempt to clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jones lands with a kick to the temple. Carter shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

Thud! ouch! good body kick from Jones - that will leave a mark!
Carter takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Jones throws a sloppy head kick and Carter moves out of range easily.
Jones throws a nice inside leg kick.
Carter is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Jones is looking to counter punch.
Carter takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Carter tries to counter with a clinch but Jones shakes him off and moves away.
Carter throws a body punch but Jones moves out of range.
Jones throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Carter is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.
Jones is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Carter can do to turn this around?
Carter tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Carter is looking to clinch but Jones is avoiding it.
Jones is looking to counter with head kicks.

Jones lands with a kick to the ribs.
Carter throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
And Jones counters with a quick kick to the body but Carter blocks it.

Jones throws out a token jab with nothing on it.

Jones misses with a hook. Carter ducked under it nicely.
Carter is looking for the big counter here.
Carter sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.

Carter tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Jones paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Jones throwing a counter right hand but Carter manages to avoid it.
Jones throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Carter's head.
Jones plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Jones lands a nice looking body kick.
Jones throws a front kick that sends Carter stumbling back into the cage.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Carter tries to clinch up but Jones circles away and keeps his distance.

Carter has developed a nice purple lump on his ribcage, as a result of some heavy body kicks from Jones.
Carter with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Jones to score with a decent uppercut.
Nice shot lands for Jones.
Jones throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Carter.
Jones thuds his shin into the meat of Carter's side.

And that's the end of the fight!
Jon Jones showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Jones, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
