The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kriel lands a jab to the nose.
Fields uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Kriel.
Fields appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Fields seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Kriel throws a leg kick which misses Fields's front leg but catches the back leg as Fields tries to avoid it.
Kriel throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Kriel lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Fields moves out of range of the body kick from Kriel.
Fields attempts a counter takedown but Kriel avoids it well and moves away.
Fields tries to clinch but Kriel is having none of it.

Kriel has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Fields is landing a low percentage of strikes.

Kriel feints a jab promting Fields to slip. Kriel then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Fields slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Oh Fields is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Jan Kriel seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fields gets hit by the mother of all head kicks and drops to the canvas in a crumpled heap! Woooow, the Internet is going to be talking about this one for weeks!
