The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Czechvaka shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Leshard shoots in and bounces Czechvaka off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Czechvaka had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Leshard is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Czechvaka Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Leshard's back instead.
Leshard rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

and Leshard counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Czechvaka!

Leshard closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Czechvaka bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Leshard's guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Leshard is on top in guard.
Leshard knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Czechvaka on the ground.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Brick Leshard will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Brick Leshard overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Leshard is staying active underneath Czechvaka, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Leshard feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Czechvaka looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Leshard is defending well. Czechvaka quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Leshard has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Czechvaka celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
