The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Jorge Garcia and Anthony Taglia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Heiluu throws a right hand that Machado ducks under and follows up with a left that Machado also avoids with ease.
Machado blocks a leg kick.
Heiluu shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Machado avoids the body shot from Heiluu.

and Machado moves into the clinch.
Machado is looking to take this one to the mat.
Heiluu tries to pull guard but Machado forces him back to his feet, against the cage.

Heiluu working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Machado doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Machado manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Heiluu has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at The Factory. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.
Machado really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Machado seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
Heiluu shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Machado pinned against the cage. Machado gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Machado is looking to counter the offense by Heiluu and move into the clinch.
Rodrigo Machado has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Cassit Heiluu.

As Heiluu tries to get set, Machado tries to push him back and clinch up but Heiluu manages to avoid the attempt.

and Machado holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Machado drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Machado working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Heiluu's head.
Heiluu isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Machado stacks Heiluu on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Machado!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Machado lands a strong strike to the head of Heiluu. That's dazed him! Machado looking to finish here. Heiluu is waving his arms around trying to block but he's hurt badly - Machado lands more strikes and the referee steps in to end the fight!
