The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Asashoryu stuns Tiger with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Asashoryu pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Tiger tries to clinch but Asashoryu is having none of it.
Shinto Tiger seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Tiger blocks a head kick by Asashoryu.
Good shot there by Asashoryu.
It looks like Shinto Tiger has been cut.
Tiger is looking to slow Asashoryu down with leg kicks.
A head kick misses from Asashoryu.
Tiger throws a head kick but Asashoryu moves out of range.
Asashoryu tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Asashoryu plants his feet and throws a devastating head kick! It connects square on Tiger's ear and has knocked him out cold! No need for a count here as the referee immediately tends to a stricken Tiger, crumpled in the corner! Wow, what a finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:33 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Yokozuna Asashoryu!
