Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
11 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Davy Vosne! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
20 - 20 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mikey Moo! The judges for this bout are Topper Green, Winston Howard and Chris Dean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Vosne connects with the punch. Vosne jabs Moo right on the nose. Moo blinks but takes it well. Moo walks into a stiff left hand from Vosne. Vosne misses with a takedown attempt and Moo counters with a nice double leg into guard. Moo trying to control but Vosne is working from the bottom. Vosne working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Moo doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Moo manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Moo pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Vosne is keeping the position for now. Vosne looking for a guillotine here but Moo defends easily.

That's one minute gone in the round. Moo got a little sloppy there for a moment and Vosne has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Moo has managed to get both his arms back between Vosne's legs - danger averted. Vosne working for a triangle but Moo defends it easily.

We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Vosne stands up over Moo, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Vosne cracks Moo with a solid left hand. Vosne wants to control from the top but Moo keeps moving. Moo working for a triangle but Vosne defends it easily.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Vosne wants to control from the top but Moo keeps moving. Vosne lands a couple of decent looking shots. Vosne postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Vosne landing some decent shots from guard. Vosne distracts Moo with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Moo working for a triangle but Vosne defends it easily.
Vosne works a leg free and moves into half guard. Vosne prevents Moo from improving his position. Vosne seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Moo does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Moo makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Moo. Vosne stands and throws Moo's legs to the side, diving into side control. Vosne lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. Vosne scores with a couple of short elbows. Moo can't do much from the bottom here. Vosne lands an elbow. Vosne is looking to take a break and control but Moo is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Moo is working to avoid the ground and pound but Vosne connects with a decent elbow. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Vosne trying to control the action but Moo is working from the bottom. That's five minutes gone in the round. Vosne is keen to just control but Moo is a slippery customer. Moo looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Moo is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Moo looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Vosne lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Vosne lands strikes from half guard. Moo looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Vosne is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Moo has managed to free his arm - good work.
That's six minutes gone in the round. Vosne looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Moo with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Vosne is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Moo makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Moo. Vosne chips away with some ground and pound. Moo is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Vosne scoring with punches to the head and body. Moo is rocked! Vosne gets to his feet and stands over Moo, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Moo felt that one! Vosne unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Moo from any more punishment!
