Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Garland Mcfarland (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hulk Hogan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hogan has chosen Real American as his entrance music. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Joseph Jones and Reed Andrews.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hogan changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Mcfarland tries to avoid it but Hogan manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Mcfarland to the ground. Mcfarland escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Hogan looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Hogan fails with the takedown
and Mcfarland counters with a straight right hand.
Mcfarland digs a good body shot into Hogan's ribs.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Mcfarland, as that shot connected.
Hogan's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Mcfarland connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Hogan scrambles back to his feet.
Mcfarland is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Hogan avoids a punch combination nicely.
As Mcfarland backs off Hogan throws a huge counter combo but Mcfarland manages to avoid it all.
Mcfarland moves into range and clinches up with Hogan.
Mcfarland manages to pull guard.
Mcfarland has Hogan pulled in close to control his posture.
Mcfarland looking to hit a scissor sweep but Hogan is one step ahead there.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Mcfarland throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Hogan is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Mcfarland is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Mcfarland has escaped and now he's on top!

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Mcfarland would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Hogan looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Mcfarland throwing strikes but missing.
Mcfarland gets to his feet - Hogan follows without any prompting.

Hogan throws a right and a left that Mcfarland avoids nicely.
Hogan takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Hogan takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Hogan moves out of range of the body kick from Mcfarland.
A decent looking cross lands there for Mcfarland.
Mcfarland shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Hogan eats them both and turns towards Mcfarland to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Mcfarland throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Hogan was covering up waiting for the punch and Mcfarland finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Mcfarland would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Mcfarland is in close to Hogan's body, working some short punches and elbows.

and Mcfarland counters with a straight right hand.

Mcfarland bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Hogan tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops.
The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Mcfarland's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.
Hogan is breathing heavily.
Mcfarland working for a choke but Hogan reverses nicely into Mcfarland 's guard.

Mcfarland wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Mcfarland has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Hogan has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.

Hogan has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Mcfarland.

and Mcfarland counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Mcfarland looks to land a combination but Hogan avoids it well.

and Mcfarland counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Garland Mcfarland has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hulk Hogan.
Hogan gets tackled into the cage by Mcfarland. Mcfarland maintains the clinch.

Hogan with a lazy takedown attempt
letting Mcfarland counter with a right hand.
Mcfarland rushes Hogan and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Mcfarland gets control of Hogan's arms and successfully pulls guard. Mcfarland will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

and Hogan takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Mcfarland throws a push kick but Hogan slaps the foot to one side.
Garland Mcfarland is winning the standup battle so far.
Hogan chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Mcfarland can pounce on him.
Mcfarland throws the kick towards the body but Hogan avoids it.
Hogan rushes Mcfarland and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Mcfarland's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Mcfarland works over Hogan's head and body with a nice combination.

Mcfarland decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Mcfarland prevents Hogan from standing back up.
Mcfarland wants to work for an arm triangle but Hogan is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Mcfarland looks to score some points with some ground and pound.

Mcfarland seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Mcfarland looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Hogan with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Mcfarland thows a huge punch but Hogan dodges it nicely.

Hogan is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Hogan can do anything to dispel that myth.

Mcfarland throwing strikes from the back - he gets a warning from the referee for striking the back of the head but all these shots are hurting Hogan!
Mcfarland has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Hogan tries to break free.
Hogan looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.
Mcfarland controlling well, preventing Hogan from escaping the position.
Hulk Hogan has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Mcfarland has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Hogan has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

Well Mcfarland has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
