Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Gully God (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jake Grim (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). God's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, justin morgan gin and juice. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

31 - 16 - 2, fighting out of Montreal, Gully God! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jake Grim! The judges for this bout are Francis DeMontford, Steve Erwin and Donatello Bradman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Grim shoots and misses and God counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Grim thinking. God looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! Grim misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. No luck for Grim with that takedown attempt. Gully God has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jake Grim. Grim goes for a double leg but God avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as God continues to drive forward. It looked like God was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Grim. God leaves Grim with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. God is looking to counter punch. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Grim shoots in but no luck this time. Jake Grim seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Nope, God circles away and we're back to standing. God seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter. Grim shoots in for a takedown but God shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. As Grim looks to move away, God throws a big counter combo but Grim just gets out of the way. Grim shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and God counters with a lovely straight right hand!

Grim tries to close the distance and clinch up but God swats him away and circles back towards the center. God scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Grim with a poor takedown and God counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. God scores with a shot to the body.

God escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Grim with a poor takedown and God counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. Gully God has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jake Grim. Grim is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in God's half guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. God tries to get to full guard but Grim has control of the leg. We've been hearing good reports from God's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Grim stalling away here and it's allowed God to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Grim shoots for a double leg takedown but God sprawls well. He's pushed Grim's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. God is looking for a counter combo. Gully God is winning the standup battle so far. God swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Grim decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in God's guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Grim trying to control but God is working from the bottom. Grim postures up.
Grim wants to control from the top but God keeps moving.
That's three minutes gone in the round. God utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Grim throws an elbow that misses. God uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Grim's guard. Nice move by God! Grim keeping moving, preventing God from controlling successfully. Grim is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst God is controlling him. God is stalling in the full guard.

And that's the end of the fight! Gully God showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for God, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
