Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ivan Drago (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Walter Herman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Herman has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Drago stuffs the takedown attempt from Herman. Herman gets slowly back to his feet.
Drago shoots in for a double leg but Herman sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Herman tries to clinch
and Drago counters with a takedown into side control.
Drago tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Herman looks winded!
Herman struggling a bit here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Drago has knee on belly and moves into mount.
Drago looking to secure an arm triangle but Herman defends it well.
Drago jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Herman is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Herman and Drago has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Drago tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Drago thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Herman regains half guard.
Drago is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Drago looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Drago maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Herman could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Drago has cracked it and Herman is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Drago!
