Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mcgregor Conor!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Joey Singleterry!
The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Eddie Farnsworth and Columbo Gatti.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Singleterry clinches.

Singleterry's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Conor lands a front kick.
Conor misses with a low kick.
Singleterry should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Singleterry fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Conor, pushing him back against the cage.
Singleterry blocking some punches.
Conor tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.

Singleterry has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Conor regains guard immediately.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Singleterry looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Singleterry preventing the sweep.
Singleterry controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Singleterry postures up in Conor's guard and throws a big left but Conor blocks it.

Singleterry missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Conor controls Singleterry momentarily but Singleterry frees himself.
Singleterry with a flurry of punches that miss.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Singleterry content to stall in guard here.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Mcgregor Conor seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Singleterry shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Singleterry cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!


Conor is rocked!

Singleterry looking to control and managing it successfully.
Oh Conor is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Singleterry fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Singleterry is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Conor can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Joey Singleterry dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


No joy there for Conor, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Conor seems to have got his legs back now.
Singleterry avoids the head kick by Conor.
Conor pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Singleterry back to the cage. Conor follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

Singleterry has Conor up against the cage in a clinch.
Conor tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.

Singleterry has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Conor regains guard immediately.
Singleterry not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Singleterry is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Conor not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Singleterry showing good wrestling skills to control the position.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Conor is working an open guard so Singleterry takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Singleterry is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Conor's half guard.
Singleterry is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

Conor is looking to regain full guard. He's left an arm up in the air though and Singleterry has latched onto it... Big trouble! Singleterry pivots for an armbar - it's in tight and it Conor is tapping in no time flat! Great counter grappling there from Singleterry!
