Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Sparky Anderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nate Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Anderson throws a jab but it's blocked by Diaz.
Anderson shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Anderson throws a hook but Diaz blocks it.
Diaz is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Anderson with a body shot.
Nice uppercut lands for Diaz. That snapped Anderson's head back.

and Diaz counters with a good, hard body kick but Anderson shrugs it off.
Anderson clinches up against the cage.
Anderson lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Anderson.
Anderson scores with an uppercut up the middle.
Diaz is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Anderson to keep the fight standing.
Diaz escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Anderson moves out of range of the leg kick from Diaz.
Good leg kick by Anderson there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Anderson throws a lazy right hand but Diaz sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Diaz cracks Anderson with an open hand slap.
Anderson thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Diaz if he has to take too many more of those.
Anderson connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Anderson lands with an uppercut that bounces Diaz off the cage and back into range.
Sparky Anderson is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
