Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Steve Pick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hjalmar Soderberg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hjalmar Soderberg is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
11 - 7 - 4, fighting out of Las Vegas, Steve Pick! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
27 - 12 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Hjalmar Soderberg! The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Sergei Dronov and Dmitry Maklakov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pick looks to land a left hand but Soderberg moved out of range nicely. A punch combination from Pick misses. Soderberg fails with a takedown attempt. Pick definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Pick misses with a few strikes there.
Pick misses with a right hand and Soderberg holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Soderberg avoids a wild elbow strike from Pick. A head punch blocked on the inside by Soderberg. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Pick. Pick misses with a shot to the kidneys.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Soderberg turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Soderberg manages to end up in side control. Pick is looking for a sweep. Soderberg working the ground and pound from side control. Soderberg trying to control the position but Pick is working away.
That's one minute gone in the round. I wouldn't like to be where Pick is right now. Soderberg wants to lay and pray for a moment but Pick keeps working. Pick tries to get back to half guard but can't. Pick is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Soderberg's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Soderberg looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Pick with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Soderberg stalling. Soderberg wants to take a breather but Pick is having none of it. Pick keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Pick wants to control the action here but instead Soderberg manages to pass to full mount! Soderberg has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Soderberg landing punches. Soderberg wants to control the pace but Pick is squirming around nicely. Soderberg lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Pick hang on? Soderberg scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Pick?
It looks like Steve Pick has been cut. Pick is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Pick working to try and regain half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Soderberg wants to control the pace but Pick is squirming around nicely. Pick really trying hard to get back to half guard here.

Soderberg cracks Pick with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Steve Pick's cut is getting worse.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The referee warns Pick that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Jeez, Steve Pick's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Steve Pick's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:27 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Hjalmar Soderberg! Hjalmar Soderberg took to the mic in his post fight interview and said 'This was my retirement-fight. Thank you for everything. My chin just didn't hold up in past fights.'.
