The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wooten throws a series of punches but Diaz moves out of range.
Diaz takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Wooten misses with a series of wild punches.
Wooten scores with a jab to the body.
Diaz shoots for a takedown but Wooten saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Diaz gets off balance looking for a body kick
and Wooten counters with a straight right hand.

Wooten decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Diaz is looking to control Wooten's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Diaz avoid being mounted?
Diaz wants to get back to full guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Wooten looking to improve position, pressing down on Diaz's thigh with his hand. Diaz seems to be working to lock up a guilotine though... is Wooten paying attention? Apparently not! He's locked it up tight! Wooten's face has turned purple! Will he tap? Will he! YES! He's tapped! Diaz picked his opening and made it count! Great finish!
