Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ode Jokinen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jacob Koch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 1 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
19 - 9 - 3, fighting out of London, Ode Jokinen! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
21 - 13 - 0, fighting out of London, Jacob Koch! The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Hirohito Nitta and Sosuke Kotani.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jokinen throws a leg kick and Koch counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters. Koch tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Jokinen on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Jokinen on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. We've been informed that Koch has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. Nice shot by Jokinen. Koch misses with a body punch
and Koch takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Jokinen throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Jokinen tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. Jokinen throws a leg kick but Koch moved away. Jokinen shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Koch's guard. Jokinen stopping the sweep attempt from Koch. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Koch avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Koch has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. That's one minute gone in the round. Jokinen content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Jokinen throws a strike but Koch rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Koch postures up.
Jokinen wants to hit a switch here but Koch passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Jokinen there! Jokinen is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Jokinen is squirming around, avoiding Koch's attempts to control the action. Jokinen regains half guard. Jokinen wants to control but Koch is keeping busy.
Jokinen makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Jokinen. Jokinen wants to sweep but no luck.
That's three minutes gone in the round. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Jokinen is on top in guard.

He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Jokinen wants to get back to full guard. Jokinen trying to control but Koch postures up.
Jokinen is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Koch is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
That's five minutes gone in the round. Jokinen wants to improve his position but Koch is controlling well.

That's six minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Jokinen is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Koch working away. Koch trying to control the action but Jokinen is working from the bottom. Koch moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
That's seven minutes gone in the round. Jokinen throws a leg kick that is checked and Koch connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Koch avoids a low kick by using good footwork. Jokinen lands a two punch combo.
Jokinen moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Koch throws a jab when Jokinen was well out of range. Jokinen throws a head kick but Koch moves out of range.
Jacob Koch is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Koch tries to land a leg kick but Jokinen saw it coming and moves away.
Jokinen throws a hook but Koch avoids it easily. Jokinen on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Koch misses with a hook. Jokinen appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick. Koch walks into a jab. Koch motions for Jokinen to come forward. Koch throws a leg kick but it misses it's target. Koch checks a low kick from Jokinen. Jokinen looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
That's eight minutes gone in the round. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Jokinen is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Jokinen is thwarting Koch's attempts to control the position. Koch avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Jokinen. Jokinen thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Jokinen throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Jokinen missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Jokinen is thwarting Koch's attempts to control the position. Jokinen looks to land a strike but Koch avoids it nicely and regains full guard. Jokinen in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
That's nine minutes gone in the round. Koch is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Jokinen wants to control from the top but Koch keeps moving. Koch is controlling Jokinen's posture. Jokinen working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Jokinen accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Koch preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Jokinen distracts Koch with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Jokinen working some strikes from top position.
And that's the end of the fight! Ode Jokinen showed his dominance in that final round. Well Jokinen has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
