The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jason tries to close the distance and clinch but Boulpiquante swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Jason looks to throw the jab but Boulpiquante is out of range.
Boulpiquante staying out of range there.
Boulpiquante slips a straight right by Jason.
Jason misses with a hook.
Boulpiquante moves out of range of the body kick from Jason.
Boulpiquante looks like he wanted to counter with a high kick but didn't throw it.
Good leg kick by Jason there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Jason shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Jason misses with an uppercut. Boulpiquante saw that one coming.
Boulpiquante throws a chopping leg kick but Jason manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Jason feinted there with a counter leg kick.
Jason getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jason uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Boulpiquante.
Boulpiquante throws the left hand but Jason avoids the punch easily.
Jason takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Boulpiquante punishes Jason's body with a nice straight punch.
Jason staying out of range there.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Jason misses with a low kick as Boulpiquante jumps back.
Boulpiquante flicks out a counter leg kick but Jason steps away.

A nice combination there by Boulpiquante.
It looks like Rony Jason has been cut.
Boulpiquante cracks Jason with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Jason scores with a nice right hand.
Jason connects with a leg kick. Boulpiquante looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
A nice inside leg kick there by Boulpiquante. That's going to slow Jason down.
Boulpiquante drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Jason thows a body kick. Boulpiquante tries to catch it but that hurt him.
Jason looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Boulpiquante will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Jason lands a jab-cross combination.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Jason throws a right hand that misses
and Boulpiquante counters with a straight right hand.
Boulpiquante avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Jason cracks the inside of Boulpiquante's front leg.
Jason takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

Jason takes a swing at Boulpiquante's ribcage but misses.
Boulpiquante misses with a straight left.
Boulpiquante lands with a cross.
Jason misses with the combination.
Jason looks to score with a jab to the body but Boulpiquante is just out of range.
Boulpiquante misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
The crowd cheers as Jason lands an impressive looking overhand right. Boulpiquante doesn't seem phased though.
Boulpiquante throws a hook but Jason avoids it easily.
Jason takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Jason throws a series of punches but Boulpiquante moves out of range.
Boulpiquante walks forward, straight into a front kick from Jason.
Jason throws a leg kick
enabling Boulpiquante to counter with a crisp jab.
Boulpiquante is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Jason.
Boulpiquante paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Jason misses with an uppercut. Boulpiquante saw that one coming.
Boulpiquante thuds his shin into the meat of Jason's side.
Jason misses with a leg kick
and Boulpiquante counters with a stiff right hand.
Jason uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Boulpiquante.
Jason takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Jason looks to score with a jab to the body but Boulpiquante is just out of range.
Boulpiquante scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Boulpiquante misses with a kick to the body.
Jason throwing a counter right hand but Boulpiquante manages to avoid it.
Boulpiquante connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Boulpiquante scoring well with a low kick there.
Jason scores with the left hand. Boulpiquante knows he should have avoided that one.
Boulpiquante lands a body shot.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Boulpiquante misses with a double jab
and Jason counters with a series of strikes. Boulpiquante will be more careful next time no doubt.

Boulpiquante misses with a low kick as Jason jumps back.
A punch lands to the side of Jason 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Boulpiquante is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Boulpiquante scores with a decent looking hook.
Jason misses with a body kick.
Jason feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Boulpiquante sprawling to the canvas! Boulpiquante rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Jason finish him?!
Boulpiquante is rocked!
Jason throws a monster overhand right that drops Boulpiquante! Jason follows up with more strikes from mount and the fight is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Rony Jason!
Rony Jason seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
