The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ninja gets the takedown into side control.
Ninja working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Ninja wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Frettish, who protects the arm well.
Ninja is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Frettish knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ninja looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.

Ninja throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Frettish works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure.

Ninja is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Frettish defends it well.
Ninja works his way into full mount!

Ninja throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Ninja looking to control but Frettish is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Frettish on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Frettish tries to get out of the position.

Ninja tries to get the hooks in deep but Frettish pushed the leg off.
Ninja has managed to slip his arm under Frettish's chin. This could be all over... yep, Frettish is tapping out! Submission win for Ninja.
