Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kevin Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Spiros Saravakos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kevin Jones! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Spiros Saravakos! The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Saravakos throws a half hearted mid kick. Saravakos drives through with a takedown into guard. Jones is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Saravakos got a little sloppy there for a moment and Jones has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Saravakos has managed to get both his arms back between Jones's legs - danger averted. Saravakos throwing strikes from guard but Jones blocks nicely. Saravakos postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Saravakos is stalling in the full guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jones is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Saravakos defends well. Saravakos working some strikes from top position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Saravakos chips away with some ground and pound. Jones will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Saravakos slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Let's hope that Saravakos has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Nice jab there from Saravakos. Jones avoids a low kick by using good footwork. Jones shoots in for a takedown but Saravakos shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Jones shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Saravakos pinned against the cage. Saravakos gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Jones is breathing heavily. Jones closes the distance and pushes Saravakos back into the cage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jones is trying to pull guard but Saravakos has him pressed against the cage. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kevin Jones. That's going to take a lot out of him. Saravakos has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Jones really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Saravakos lands a left hand.
Jones is trying to drag Saravakos to the mat but Saravakos just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Jones prevents Saravakos from breaking the clinch. Saravakos gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Jones regains guard.
Saravakos forces his way into half guard. Jones on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Jones tries to get out of the position. Saravakos is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Saravakos working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Saravakos not doing much here.
Saravakos seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Saravakos is nestled in close to Jones, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Saravakos lands a big elbow - Jones is out of it! He's waving his arms around but his eyes are closed and he's not intelligently defending himself - the ref has no choice but to jump in and stop the fight! This one is in the books! A TKO win for Saravakos!
