Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Shane Gallagher! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Cris Henderson! The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Gwen Towbar and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gallagher shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Henderson's guard. Henderson trying to keep a closed guard but Gallagher is proving a slippery customer.
Gallagher stays in close to Henderson's body and controls the position. Gallagher stopping the sweep attempt from Henderson. Gallagher stands and steps away. Henderson gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Cris Henderson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Gallagher tries to sprawl but Henderson drives through with a takedown into half guard. Gallagher has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Henderson is on him like a limpet, forcing Gallagher back against the cage. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Henderson breaks the clinch.
Gallagher tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Henderson swivels and escapes. Gallagher scores with a takedown into Henderson's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Henderson has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Gallagher has passed into side control.
Gallagher decides to take the fight back to the feet. Henderson pushes Gallagher up against the cage in a clinch. Henderson breaks from the clinch.
Henderson misses with a kick to the body.
Gallagher shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Henderson is trying to defend but Gallagher finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Henderson tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Gallagher has advanced to mount. Uh oh.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Henderson wants to control but Gallagher is having none of it. Gallagher looking to control and managing it successfully. Gallagher avoids the attempt from Henderson to control. Henderson tries to reverse the position but Gallagher maintains control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gallagher content just to control the position here. Henderson can't escape the position.
Gallagher looking to secure an arm triangle but Henderson defends it well. Gallagher sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Henderson is trying desperately to improve position. Gallagher really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Henderson wants to control but Gallagher is having none of it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Gallagher controlling from the full mount. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Shane Gallagher dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Henderson decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Gallagher is pressing down on Henderson's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Gallagher keeping moving, preventing Henderson from controlling successfully. Gallagher has his hands on Henderson's head, controlling the position. Gallagher throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Henderson escapes and throws Gallagher's legs to the side, diving into side control! We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Gallagher wants to get back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Henderson wants to lay and pray for a moment but Gallagher keeps working. Henderson working away. Gallagher takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Gallagher is trying to escape and get back to his feet. Henderson stands up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Henderson has taken the fight to the clinch.
Gallagher utilising his Muay Thai to score with a knee to the body. Henderson has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Gallagher uses from the top position. Henderson has a closed guard, preventing Gallagher from standing up. Gallagher won't allow Henderson to sweep him here. Gallagher controls from within his opponent's guard. Henderson working a defensive guard but Gallagher manages to pass into side control anyway.
Shane Gallagher overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gallagher decides to stand back up. Gallagher steps back and let's Henderson get back to his feet. Henderson is looking to land body kicks. Henderson shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Gallagher napping and manages to drive through into side control! Gallagher explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there! Gallagher closes this distance looking for a takedown but Henderson circles away. Gallagher darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Gallagher stands up out of the half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Henderson decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Gallagher has his hands clasped together around Henderson's back. He's all about the action. Henderson not landing any meaningful shots this time. Gallagher regains full guard. Nicely done. Gallagher pushes Henderson off and gets back to his feet.
Henderson has taken the fight to the clinch.

That was a close second round but I would say that Shane Gallagher will probably get the nod. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
Gallagher changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Henderson looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Henderson throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done! Gallagher shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Gallagher showed some decent athleticism there. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Henderson wants to get back to his feet.
Gallagher takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Henderson trying to control but Gallagher postures up.
Gallagher content to control rather than advance.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gallagher stands up from half guard. Henderson scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Gallagher throws Henderson to one side and escapes! Gallagher gets caught flat footed, as Henderson shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Henderson drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Gallagher dives on top into guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Gallagher is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Gallagher is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. Henderson trying his best to control but Gallagher has mounted him. Henderson tries to get back to half guard but can't.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Gallagher controlling his opponent. Gallagher's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
And that's the end of the fight! Shane Gallagher showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Gallagher, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
