Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Badluck Johnathan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Troy Finch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Johnathan's entrance music is Bad Moon Rising. A fine choice. On his way into the cage it seems that Badluck Johnathan has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Badluck Johnathan seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Troy Finch! The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Peter Branson and Winston Alpacca.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Johnathan gets the takedown into side control. Finch prevents Johnathan from improving position. Johnathan creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. Johnathan sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Finch is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Finch stops Johnathan from passing to mount. Finch is working to avoid the ground and pound but Johnathan connects with a decent elbow. Johnathan is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Finch is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Johnathan in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. Johnathan tries to advance to mount but Finch denies him. Johnathan goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Finch rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Johnathan's guard! Nice work there by Finch! This has been an exciting period of action! Finch wants to get up but he can't break Johnathan's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Finch accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
That's one minute gone in the round. Finch chips away with some ground and pound. Johnathan wants to get back to his feet but Finch is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Finch throwing strikes but missing. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Finch won't allow Johnathan to get back to his feet. Johnathan could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Finch throwing strikes from guard but Johnathan blocks nicely. Finch trying to control the position from guard on top but Johnathan is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Finch passes into half guard. Johnathan pushes Finch off looking to stand but Finch dives back in and keeps control.
Finch is working for a kimura but Johnathan is defending it quite comfortably.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Johnathan shoots in but no luck this time.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Finch lands with a kick to the temple. Johnathan shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Johnathan scores with a takedown into Finch's guard. Finch wriggles free and stands up. Johnathan looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Finch stuffs the takedown. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Badluck Johnathan. That's going to take a lot out of him. Johnathan closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Finch to the mat! Finch manages to get full guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Johnathan throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Johnathan stands up over Finch, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Johnathan throwing strikes but missing. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Finch can do anything to dispel that myth. Johnathan throws a big right hand that misses. Johnathan throwing strikes from guard but Finch blocks nicely. Finch manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Johnathan manages to get himself to full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Finch prevents Johnathan from getting back to his feet. Johnathan keeping moving, preventing Finch from controlling successfully. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Johnathan connects with a nice short shot to Finch's temple. Finch on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Finch is trying to stand back up but Johnathan is controlling him
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Johnathan seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. The fighters are battling for position here. Finch manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Finch trying to control the position.

Johnathan has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Finch's face.
Johnathan lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Johnathan fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Finch is bucking up trying to escape but Johnathan cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Finch is covering up but some of the strikes from Johnathan are getting through and doing damage.

Badluck Johnathan decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
