Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ario Kuramoto! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Sergio Tanaka! The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Yukihiro Shimada and Tatsuya Matsuyama.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kuramoto takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards. Kuramoto darts in and clinches Tanaka up against the ropes. Tanaka escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Kuramoto rushes Tanaka and pushes him back against the ropes in a clinch. Kuramoto has had enough of the clinch but Tanaka keeps him there for the moment. Kuramoto wants to break the clinch but can't.
Tanaka tries to pull guard but Kuramoto holds him up against the ropes and eventually Tanaka drops back down to his feet.

Kuramoto bucks up and tries to throw Tanaka off but instead Tanaka has got his back! Kuramoto is trying to get back to his feet but Tanaka has full control of the position and if anything, Kuramoto has just worked his way into a worse spot. Kuramoto manages to stand up with Tanaka still on his back. Eventually Tanaka drops to his feet and we're back in the standing position. Kuramoto closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Tanaka did well to prevent Kuramoto getting side control. Kuramoto stands up from half guard. Tanaka avoids a punch combination nicely.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Kuramoto has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Tanaka. Tanaka shoots for a double leg takedown but Kuramoto sprawls well. He's pushed Tanaka's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Kuramoto misses with a double jab.

Tanaka escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Kuramoto has Tanaka up against the ropes in a clinch.
Tanaka gets control of Kuramoto's arms and successfully pulls guard. Tanaka will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Kuramoto stands up and waves to Tanaka to follow him. Kuramoto misses with a body punch

Kuramoto lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Tanaka circles away quickly and effectively. Tanaka gets a clinch. Tanaka breaks from the clinch.

Kuramoto is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Tanaka prevents Kuramoto from getting back to his feet. Kuramoto keeping moving, preventing Tanaka from controlling successfully. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Tanaka accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Tanaka trying to control but Kuramoto is working from the bottom. Tanaka throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Kuramoto works some decent striking defense from the bottom. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's going to take a lot out of Sergio Tanaka. A decent looking body kick lands there for Tanaka. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! No luck for Tanaka with that takedown attempt. Kuramoto went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected. A punch combination from Kuramoto misses. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Kuramoto throws a right and a left that both miss.

He's got his arms around Kuramoto's waist but Kuramoto gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Tanaka off to one side.
