Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Gay Bear (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Igor Kronin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kronin has chosen Rocking from Riga as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the bantamweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Gay Bear! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Igor Kronin! The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Vladimir Khabensky and Konstantin Menshow.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bear misses with an uppercut. Kronin throws a big shot that misses. Bear rushes Kronin and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Bear fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Bear manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Bear looks to throw an elbow but misses. With the fighters up against the cage, Bear throws an elbow but misses. Bear lands a hook to the side of the head. Bear throws an elbow but it's blocked.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bear tightens his grip and picks Kronin up, before dumping him to the ground. Kronin manages to land in guard. Bear engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Kronin has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Hammer and fickle. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one. Bear will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Bear drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Bear jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bear slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Bear trying to control but Kronin is working from the bottom. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kronin manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage. Kronin breaks from the clinch.
Bear tries to clinch up but Kronin circles away and keeps his distance. It seemed like Kronin was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Kronin throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Kronin misses with an uppercut. Bear circles away from the clinch attempt.
Bear feints and as Kronin raises his hands in defense, Bear changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Kronin really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bear. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Bear trying to control but Kronin is working from the bottom. Kronin trying to keep a closed guard but Bear is proving a slippery customer.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bear is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Kronin is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Bear chips away with some ground and pound. Bear is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at Fight Factory that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Bear wants to control from the top but Kronin keeps moving. Bear tries to free his leg and advance position but Kronin is retaining full guard. Bear thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Bear loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Bear preventing the sweep. Bear is pushing down on Kronin's leg trying to pass to half guard. Kronin is fighting to maintain full guard but Bear has managed to sneak the leg through. Bear is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bear is trying to control. Kronin wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Bear is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Kronin sees it coming and defends easily. Bear thows a huge punch but Kronin dodges it nicely.
Bear lands with a punch from half guard. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Bear connects with a nice short shot to Kronin's temple. Bear is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Kronin tries to kick Bear off but Bear keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Kronin regains full guard. Nicely done. Bear pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Kronin is keeping the position for now. Kronin wants to sweep but no luck. Kronin keeping full guard, as Bear tries to pass. Bear thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bear is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Bear trying to control the position from guard on top but Kronin is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Bear throws a strike but Kronin rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Bear keeping moving, preventing Kronin from controlling successfully. Bear looking for a sweep. Not yet Bear, not yet. Kronin has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Bear is proving hard to escape from. Bear looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Kronin stopping the sweep attempt from Bear. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Gay Bear dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Bear moves into range and clinches up with Kronin. Bear prevents Kronin from breaking the clinch. Kronin breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Bear pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Bear drives through with a takedown into Kronin's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Kronin has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Bear off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. Kronin swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Bear half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Kronin gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Bear to score an easy takedown into full guard. Kronin keeping moving, preventing Bear from controlling successfully. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kronin not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Bear slips nicely into half guard. Bear is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Bear wants to work for an arm triangle but Kronin is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Bear is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Bear seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Kronin does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Kronin has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Bear is working away from the top position though. Bear slips a nice elbow through Kronin's hands, connecting with Kronin's forehead. Bear takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bear has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Bear is looking for a kimura but Kronin is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Bear to get the leverage. Bear is trying to work for a kimura but Kronin is defending well.
Kronin is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Bear is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Bear not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Bear is trying to control the action in half guard but Kronin is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Kronin wants to control but Bear is keeping busy.
Bear throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Kronin has hold of Bear's hands but Bear slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Bear has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Bear trying to control the action but Kronin is working from the bottom. Bear looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Kronin trying to control from the bottom.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Kronin tries to get to full guard but Bear has control of the leg. Kronin avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Bear. Bear not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Bear working over Kronin with some ground and pound. Kronin looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Well, if Bear is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Bear wants to lay and pray for a moment but Kronin keeps working. Bear is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Kronin is just riding it out for now. Bear eventually gives up the hold. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
