Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Phil Leotardo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brandon Dahlen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brandon Dahlen told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Brandon Dahlen!
The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Ivan Kurochkin and Sergei Dronov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A good leg kick by Leotardo.
Leotardo moves into the clinch successfully.
A body shot lands from Leotardo.
Dahlen tries to pull guard but Leotardo forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Leotardo's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
The crowd cheers as Leotardo lands an impressive looking overhand right. Dahlen doesn't seem phased though.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Dahlen is defended easily by Leotardo.
Dahlen has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Leotardo.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dahlen shoots in and gets a takedown into Leotardo's guard.
Dahlen loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Dahlen controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Dahlen missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

Dahlen passes into half guard.
Dahlen is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Leotardo is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
