Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Hugo Carmody (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roderick Solo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Hugo Carmody! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Roderick Solo! The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, James Glass and Andrew Berry.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Solo drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Carmody lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Carmody swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Solo has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Carmody lands a leg kick that knocks Solo off balance momentarily. Solo throws a solid leg kick but Carmody takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Solo. Carmody is looking to counter punch. Carmody pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Carmody goes for a high kick. It partially lands. Solo blocks the body kick.
Carmody lands a jab to the nose. A low kick from Carmody is predictable there and Solo counters with a nice leg kick. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Carmody misses with a double jab
enabling Solo to counter with a crisp jab.
That's one minute gone in the round. Carmody lands a nice leg kick that just misses Solo's sensitive parts. Carmody throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena. A low kick from Carmody is predictable there and Solo counters with a lovely straight right hand!
It looks like Hugo Carmody has been cut. Carmody misses with an attempted mid kick.

and Solo counters with a nice uppercut. Solo takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

Solo was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind. Solo takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Carmody throws a body kick, spinning off balance and Solo counters with a thumping low kick. Carmody looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Solo feints and then cracks Carmody's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Carmody down. Solo connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Carmody slips a jab from Solo. Carmody is looking to slow Solo down with leg kicks. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Carmody.
Solo displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Carmody throws out the jab. Carmody throws a right hand that Solo ducks under and follows up with a left that Solo also avoids with ease.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Carmody scores with a jab. Solo takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Solo tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. Carmody darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Carmody checks the leg kick nicely there.

That's four minutes gone in the round. An inside leg kick from Carmody misses. Solo's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down. Solo moves out of range as Carmody strikes. Carmody throws the left hand but Solo avoids the punch easily. Carmody scores with a push kick. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Carmody scores with a nice body kick.

An inside leg kick lands from Carmody. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Carmody lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Solo has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Solo and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Solo feints a counter leg kick. An inside leg kick lands from Carmody. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Hugo Carmody dominated that round. The cut man is working on Hugo Carmody's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Carmody throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Solo now looks to counter with a shot at the body. Solo just misses with a punch to the body.
Carmody goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. A nice inside leg kick there by Carmody. That's going to slow Solo down. Solo avoids the head kick by Carmody.
Carmody throws a leg kick and Solo counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Carmody throws a head kick that misses. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Carmody misses with a low kick as Solo jumps back. We are yet to see a takedown attempt from Solo in the fight. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off. Carmody wants to slow Solo down by chopping away at his legs. Solo takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

Carmody cracks the inside of Solo's front leg. Carmody throws a low kick but Solo moves out of range easily. Solo lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected. Carmody tries to score with a low kick but Solo moves his leg out of the way. Carmody moves out of range of the strikes. Carmody throws a quick counter kick to the body but Solo avoids it. Carmody uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Solo.
Carmody is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Solo can do to turn this around? Carmody scoring well with a low kick there.

Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with eachother but Solo might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, Carmody has got the better of the exchanges.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Carmody connects with a leg kick. Solo looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.

Solo shapes to counter with a head kick. Solo checks the leg kick. Carmody throws a low kick, looking for Solo's leg but Solo calmly moves out of range. Solo stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Carmody. Nice uppercut lands for Carmody. That snapped Solo's head back.
Decent striking displayed by Carmody there. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Solo blocks a leg kick. Carmody fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Solo is out of range. Carmody walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Solo checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
That's one minute gone in the round. Carmody throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Solo throws out a counter right but Carmody avoids it with no problem. Solo finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Carmody quickly followed up with a counter body kick but doesn't connect. Solo throws a looping overhand right but Carmody ducks down to avoid it. A clash of legs there as Solo blocks the low kick. Carmody misses with a hook. Solo looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Carmody scores with a decent looking hook. Carmody tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Solo was well out of range. Poor timing from Carmody. Solo moves out of range of the body kick from Carmody.
Solo tries a quick counter leg kick but Carmody is wise to it. Carmody misses with an uppercut. Carmody throws a sloppy head kick and Solo counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Roderick Solo has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Solo lands a big head kick that sends Carmody tumbling to the mat! Solo takes a step backwards and waves Carmody back to his feet - he wants the finish! This has been an exciting period of action! Solo cracks Carmody with a hook to the temple - Carmody is on wobbly legs here! Solo swarms him with hook after hook, landing with each one! Carmody falls to the canvas face first and the referee dives in to stop the fight! Solo wins by TKO!
