Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Swanson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rio Yaj (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Swanson comes to the cage accompanied by The Devil You Know. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yaj throws a series of punches but Swanson avoids them all with ease.

Yaj shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Swanson eats them both and turns towards Yaj to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Swanson has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Hangar 18 in the buildup to the fight.
Yaj lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Yaj.
Yaj tries to bum rush Swanson with a series of wild strikes but Swanson uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Swanson, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

John Swanson decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
