Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nasser El Sonbaty (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ricky Steamboat (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Steamboat comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Lorde - Tennis Court kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Ricky Steamboat is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Nasser El Sonbaty! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
13 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ricky Steamboat! The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Luis Engracia and Alexandre Firmino.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Steamboat tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but El Sonbaty swivels and escapes. El Sonbaty wants to clinch. El Sonbaty misses with a head kick.
El Sonbaty doesn't manage to clinch there - Steamboat circles away.
Steamboat drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. El Sonbaty looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
El Sonbaty looking for a sweep. Not yet El Sonbaty, not yet. El Sonbaty working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Steamboat doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Steamboat manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. El Sonbaty has momentary wrist control but Steamboat slips an elbow through the middle. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. El Sonbaty looking for a guillotine here but Steamboat defends easily.
Steamboat works over El Sonbaty with some ground and pound from guard. Steamboat advances position into side control! Steamboat working the head with strikes.
That's one minute gone in the round. Steamboat cracks El Sonbaty with a big right hand but El Sonbaty just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Steamboat has knee on belly and moves into mount. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Steamboat lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Steamboat breaks from El Sonbaty's wrist control and lands an elbow. Steamboat lands a couple of good shots and El Sonbaty has given up his back, trying to escape the position! Steamboat has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Steamboat throwing damaging strikes from the back! El Sonbaty could be in trouble here!
Steamboat lands strikes from the back and El Sonbaty isn't doing enough to escape the position. The referee steps in to end the fight.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:42 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ricky Steamboat! Ricky Steamboat retains his light heavyweight title!
