Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Oliver Bush!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Danok Linus!
The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Leandro Rodrigues and Emerson Jorge.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Linus fails to land the takedown.
Bush throws a head kick that misses.
Linus lands a body shot.
Linus misses the jab.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bush fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Linus avoids it really well and circles away.
Linus is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.

Linus waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Bush.
Linus looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Linus clinches up with Bush and pushes him back against the cage.
Linus unloads a knee to the mid-section.

Bush is looking to work some ground and pound but Linus has wrist control.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Linus looking for a guillotine here but Bush defends easily.

Bush postures up in Linus's guard and throws a big left but Linus blocks it.
Linus is looking to stand up but Bush isn't so interested in that idea.
Bush is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Linus looking for a sweep. Not yet Linus, not yet.
Bush will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Linus is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Bush defends well.

Bush postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Bush has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Linus trying to keep a closed guard but Bush is proving a slippery customer.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Linus shoots in but Bush avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Linus clobbers Bush with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Bush really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Bush bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Bush looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
We've been informed that Linus has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
Linus is trying to stand back up but Bush is controlling him
Bush working over Linus with some ground and pound. Linus looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.

The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Bush slips a nice elbow through Linus's hands, connecting with Linus's forehead.
Bush looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Linus with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

A close round but Danok Linus will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!



Linus rushes Bush and presses him up against the cage.
Bush struggles to land a body shot inside as Linus controls his hands.
Linus fails to pull guard.
Bush tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Linus smiles and moves away.
Linus thuds a left hand into Bush's body.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Bush shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Linus is trying to defend but Bush finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Linus is positioning himself well to prevent Bush advancing to mount.

Linus is trying to stand back up but Bush is controlling him
Linus tries to roll over but Bush keeps him under control.

Bush working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Linus has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Bush is working away from the top position though.

Bush looks to land a strike but Linus avoids it nicely and regains full guard.
Linus has momentary wrist control but Bush slips an elbow through the middle.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Bush accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Linus misses with a looping right.
Bush tries to move into range but Linus moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Bush throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Linus drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Bush defends it well.
Bush slips a straight right by Linus.

Bush shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Bush throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Bush winds up and cracks Linus with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Bush is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.

Linus gets control of Bush's arms and successfully pulls guard. Linus will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Bush is in close to Linus's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Bush is working Linus over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Bush accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Linus takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Bush is looking to work some ground and pound but Linus has wrist control.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Linus darts in and clinches Bush up against the cage.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Bush is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Linus gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Linus pulls guard effortlessly.
Linus is wriggling around but Bush manages to pass to half guard.
Bush prevents Linus from standing back up.

Bush is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Bush lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Bush connects with a nice short shot to Linus's temple.
Linus pushes Bush off looking to stand but Bush dives back in and keeps control.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Danok Linus.
I think Linus has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
