Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Taneli Hauki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Howlett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Howlett's choice of entrance music: X-Men Theme Music. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that James Howlett was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hauki misses with a looping left.
Howlett throws a leg kick that misses.
Howlett has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Howlett slips a jab and a cross from Hauki.
Howlett looks like he wants to counter punch here.
A jab from Howlett finds it's way through Hauki's defenses.
Hauki throws a chopping leg kick but Howlett manages to avoid taking any serious damage.

Howlett is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Hauki with a body shot.
Howlett lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Howlett dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Hauki attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.

Hauki throws a front kick aimed at Howlett's knee but Howlett avoids it well.
A nice side step and Howlett releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.

It looked like Hauki was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

and Howlett counters with a nice low kick that buckles Hauki's knee momentarily.

Hauki misses with a low kick as Howlett jumps back.
Hauki moves in looking to clinch but Howlett pushes him off.
Howlett throws a lazy right hand but Hauki sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Howlett throws out a loose jab but Hauki uses good head movement to avoid it.
Taneli Hauki seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hauki buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Howlett scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Hauki has been working on his boxing with his coaches at LOD: Ground Zero in the buildup to the fight.
Hauki avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Howlett uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Hauki has time to react.

Hauki tries to keep at a distance but Howlett has taken the fight into the clinch.

Hauki throws a solid leg kick but Howlett takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Hauki.
Howlett takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

A big right from Hauki misses.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Howlett connects with an inside leg kick.
Hauki moves away from the strike by Howlett.
Hauki dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Howlett. That did some damage!
Howlett takes one to the side of the head.

Hauki has Howlett up against the cage in a clinch.
Howlett with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.

Howlett has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Hauki is trying to keep an underhook but Howlett manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Howlett not landing any meaningful shots this time.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Hauki looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Howlett wants to lay and pray for a moment but Hauki keeps working.

Howlett lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Hauki is holding on to half guard well.

Howlett scoring with some ground and pound.
Hauki is pulling down on Howlett's head to control his posture.

Hauki looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Howlett has picked Hauki up and slammed him! Hauki can't keep hold of the triangle and Howlett manages to pass to side control!
Howlett controls the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Howlett lands a nice forearm strike.
Hauki is letting Howlett control him for a moment.
An elbow from Howlett crashes against the mat.
Howlett gets to mount! Hauki was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.
Hauki wants to control but Howlett is having none of it.
Howlett lands a big elbow.
Howlett scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Hauki?
Howlett is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Hauki can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Howlett connects with a bit shot that sees Hauki covering up! More strikes from Howlett and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Howlett is our winner by TKO!
