Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jon Coe!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jordan Johnson!
The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Bruno Lombardi and Franklyn Lucas.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Coe.
A combination from Coe does no damage.
Coe misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Coe throws a right and a left that both miss.
Coe throws a right and a left that Johnson avoids nicely.
Nice takedown defense from Johnson. No joy for Coe on that attempt.

Coe scores with a takedown into Johnson's guard.
Coe wants to control from the top but Johnson keeps moving.
Coe is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Johnson keeping moving, preventing Coe from controlling successfully.
Johnson looking for a sweep. Not yet Johnson, not yet.

Johnson has control of Coe's left arm, preventing Coe from doing any damage.
Coe trying to control the position from guard on top but Johnson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Johnson is working an open guard so Coe takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Coe looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Johnson is fending him off so far but Coe persists. Nope, Johnson circles away and we're back to standing.
Coe is breathing heavily.
Johnson lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.


It looks like Jon Coe has been cut.
Johnson shoots in but no luck this time.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Johnson.
Johnson shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Coe as he jumps to the side.
Jon Coe has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jordan Johnson.
Johnson connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.

Johnson closes the distance and clinches.

Johnson pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
No joy there for Johnson, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Johnson looks to land a combination but Coe avoids it well.
Johnson tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Johnson throws a right and a left that Coe avoids nicely.
Johnson throws a one two combo.

Coe shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Johnson can't keep his opponent in guard - Coe advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Coe is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Coe wants to control but Johnson is keeping him busy.

Johnson is trying to stand up here but Coe is controlling him well.
Johnson is looking to control Coe's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Johnson avoid being mounted?
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Johnson is controlling Coe's trapped leg to prevent Coe from advancing to side control.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Johnson doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Coe counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Johnson!
Coe can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Johnson is looking to escape.
Coe avoids the attempt from Johnson to control.
Coe looking to control but Johnson is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

Coe is going olschool here, as he tries to force Johnson to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Johnson shrugs it off.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Coe unloads with some shots from mount but Johnson bucks and avoids them well.
Johnson wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.
Johnson keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Coe has hold of Johnson's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Johnson manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Coe tries to control but Johnson wriggling away.

Johnson sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
Coe trying to control from half guard but Johnson is working away.
Coe is looking to advance position but Johnson won't allow it.
Coe is trying to control the action in half guard but Johnson is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Johnson is trying to stand up here but Coe is controlling him well.
Coe wants to lay and pray for a moment but Johnson keeps working.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Johnson can do anything to dispel that myth.
Johnson throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Johnson is trying to stand.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Coe trying to control from Johnson's half guard. Johnson has other ideas though and has regained full guard.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
A combination from Johnson does no damage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!



Johnson takes the fight into the clinch.
Coe is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Coe drops down looking for an ankle pick but Johnson pulls his leg out and moves away.
Johnson fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
No joy there for Coe, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Coe throws a hook to the side of Johnson's head but Johnson sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Johnson throws a right and a left that both miss.
Coe swats away the attempt to clinch by Johnson.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Johnson throws a right hand that Coe ducks under and follows up with a left that Coe also avoids with ease.
Coe with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Johnson to score with a decent uppercut.

Johnson fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Coe, pushing him back against the cage.

Coe manages to break the clinch.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Johnson lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

Some wild striking there from Johnson.
Johnson throws a series of punches but Coe moves out of range.
Coe throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Johnson.
Johnson misses with a series of wild punches.
Coe looks for a takedown but Johnson sprawls well.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jon Coe. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Left hook, right uppercut from Johnson.
Johnson throws a series of punches but Coe avoids them all with ease.
Coe misses with a jab, cross combination.

Coe shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Johnson tries to kick Coe off but Coe keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Coe seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Johnson does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Johnson gets back to full guard.
Johnson keeping moving, preventing Coe from controlling successfully.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Coe advances to half guard.
Johnson is staying active underneath Coe, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Johnson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Coe. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Coe is really struggling to control Johnson but he's trying to hold on to the position.

Coe is looking for a kimura here.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Coe wants to control but Johnson is keeping him busy.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Jon Coe just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.
Johnson fails with an attempt to clinch.
Johnson scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Coe dodges the punch combination from Johnson.
Johnson misses with a jab, cross combination.
Johnson slips a jab from Coe.

And that's the end of the fight!
Jordan Johnson comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Johnson has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
