Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Juno Marz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tsuyoshi Kanehara (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Juno Marz! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Tsuyoshi Kanehara! The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Sosuke Kotani.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kanehara wants to clinch up but Marz keeps it at a distance. Marz wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Marz shoots in looking for a takedown. Kanehara tries to sprawl out of it but Marz keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Kanehara manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Kanehara tries to counter with a clinch but Marz shakes him off and moves away. Marz's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Marz duly obliges. Kanehara attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin. Kanehara tries to clinch up. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Marz shoots in but Kanehara avoids the takedown attempt easily. Marz shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Kanehara pinned against the cage. Kanehara gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Juno Marz. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kanehara darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Marz wants to stand back up but Kanehara manages to pass into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kanehara scoring with punches and elbows. Kanehara has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Marz! Marz knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Kanehara on the ground. Kanehara controlling from mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. It looks like Kanehara might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Kanehara cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Kanehara content just to control the position here. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Kanehara lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
It looks like Juno Marz has been cut. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kanehara controlling his opponent. Marz is desperately trying to improve his position but Kanehara has a good base and remains in mount. Kanehara lands a big elbow. Kanehara cracks Marz with a big head shot that has him covering up instantly! He's rolled onto his side and the referee has seen enough - this one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Tsuyoshi Kanehara!
