Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Will Tickel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roberto Kim (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
14 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Will Tickel! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
26 - 19 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Roberto Kim! The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Sam Margolis and Colin Fotheringham.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kim throws a sloppy head kick and Tickel moves out of range easily. Tickel blocks a jab. Tickel wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Kim dips to his left and cracks Tickel with an uppercut! Kim has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Tickel is landing a low percentage of strikes. Tickel shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Kim pinned against the cage. Kim gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Tickel throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Kim on the side of the head. Kim throws an overhand right that lands on Tickel's shoulder, as Tickel tries to avoid the shot. Tickel looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Tickel is working for a kimura but Kim is defending it quite comfortably.
Tickel is looking for a kimura but Kim is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Tickel to get the leverage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kim holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now. Tickel controlling the action here. Tickel is pressing down on Kim's thigh, looking to free his foot. Kim is holding on for now. We've been hearing good reports from Tickel's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today. Kim is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Tickel sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Kim defending well though. Kim trying to control from the bottom.

That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Tickel takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Tickel wants to take a breather but Kim is having none of it. Kim is defending against the submission attempts here by Tickel.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Kim scores with a body shot.
Tickel darts in looking for a takedown but Kim gets double underhooks and turns Tickel into the cage. Kim loads up on a big right hand but Tickel slips the punch. Tickel fails with the takedown and Kim cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Will Tickel. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kim throws a head kick but Tickel moves out of range.
Will Tickel seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Tickel tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Kim swivels and escapes. Kim scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Tickel doesn't seem bothered though. Kim scores with a nice right hand.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Tickel. Kim ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Kim misses with a hook. Tickel ducked under it nicely. Kim lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Tickel checks the leg kick. Tickel with a lazy takedown attempt and Kim counters with a straight right hand. Tickel fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Kim is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Tickel with a body shot. Kim thumps Tickel with a low kick. Kim scoring well with a low kick there.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Kim buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kim connects with an inside leg kick. Tickel shoots in looking for a takedown but Kim manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Tickel's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Tickel takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Kim catches Tickel with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Tickel is rocked! Tickel shoots in for a takedown but Kim shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. A nice side step and Kim releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home. Oh Tickel is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Today's fight clock is brought to you by... OOOH that's a huge shot by Kim! Tickel is in big trouble here - the ref steps in to save him and this one is all over!
