Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mikhail Vasilyev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Coda Putrida (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Mikhail Vasilyev! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Coda Putrida! The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Kenichi Hosakawa and Tatsuya Matsuyama.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Putrida fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Vasilyev looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! Putrida throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Putrida shoots in but no luck this time. Putrida changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Vasilyev tries to avoid it but Putrida manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Vasilyev to the ground. Vasilyev escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Putrida closes the distance and clinches. Putrida gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Vasilyev regains guard.
Putrida trying to control the position from guard on top but Vasilyev is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Vasilyev working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Putrida has passed into half guard!
Putrida has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Putrida controlling the position easily from mount.
That's one minute gone in the round. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Putrida cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Putrida with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Putrida working Vasilyev over with strikes here. Putrida lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Vasilyev is squirming around, avoiding Putrida's attempts to control the action. Putrida pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Putrida wants to control the pace but Vasilyev is squirming around nicely.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Putrida might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Vasilyev kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Vasilyev tries to reverse the position but Putrida maintains control. Vasilyev is squirming around, avoiding Putrida's attempts to control the action.
Despite being in the dominant position, Coda Putrida just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Putrida fails with the takedown. Mikhail Vasilyev has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Coda Putrida. Putrida shoots in but Vasilyev avoids the takedown attempt easily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Putrida misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Excellent takedown into side control there by Vasilyev. Vasilyev wants to control but Putrida is keeping him busy. Putrida is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Vasilyev is controlling him well. Putrida wants to control but Vasilyev postures up. Vasilyev thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Putrida manages to work his way to half guard, despite Vasilyev's best efforts.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Vasilyev is trying to control the action in half guard but Putrida is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Vasilyev seems to be working for a kimura but Putrida defends the submission attempt. Putrida actively working from the bottom here. Putrida is looking for a sweep. Vasilyev is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Well, if Vasilyev is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Vasilyev tries to pass the half guard into mount. Putrida knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Vasilyev keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Coda Putrida dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Putrida fails with a takedown attempt. Vasilyev circles away from the clinch attempt.
Vasilyev throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. A head kick misses from Vasilyev. Vasilyev lands a glancing blow to the side of Putrida's head. Putrida with a lazy takedown attempt and Vasilyev counters with a left and a right that stings Putrida. Putrida tries to close the distance and clinch up but Vasilyev swats him away and circles back towards the center. Putrida throws a head kick that half lands.
Putrida fails to land the takedown. Mikhail Vasilyev has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Coda Putrida. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Putrida drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Vasilyev pushes Putrida away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Putrida gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Putrida wants to lay and pray for a moment but Vasilyev keeps working. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Putrida tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Vasilyev is trying to control Putrida's posture but Putrida avoids it. Vasilyev is positioning himself to get back to half guard. That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Putrida tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Putrida shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Vasilyev as he jumps to the side. Vasilyev misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Putrida counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Putrida tries to score a body lock takedown but Vasilyev shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Putrida lands an elbow inside. Putrida lands with a short head shot on the inside. Putrida breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Mikhail Vasilyev is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Putrida scores with a three punch combo!
Putrida looks to clinch and Vasilyev counters with a nice body shot. Putrida tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. A head kick by Putrida misses and Vasilyev counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Putrida! Putrida is trying to escape the mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Putrida tries to hold on but Vasilyev pushes him away. Putrida tries to get back to half guard but can't. Vasilyev working Putrida over with strikes here. Vasilyev content just to control the position here. Putrida keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Putrida is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Vasilyev goes for an armbar but Putrida turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Putrida.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Putrida postures up.

That was a close second round but I would say that Mikhail Vasilyev will probably get the nod. That's time! Back to the action! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!
Putrida shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Putrida showed some decent athleticism there. Putrida blocks the strikes from Vasilyev.

Putrida postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Vasilyev to stand up. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Putrida tries to clinch but fails miserably and Vasilyev counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Vasilyev. Putrida is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage. Vasilyev stops a takedown attempt from Putrida.

Vasilyev prevents Putrida from breaking the clinch. Putrida breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Vasilyev slips a jab from Putrida. Vasilyev has managed to clinch.
Vasilyev is trying to break the clinch but Putrida has him pressed against the cage. Putrida just leaning against Vasilyev, taking a breather. Vasilyev is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Putrida pulls him back up using the underhooks. A short body shot lands from Putrida as the two fighters clinch.

Putrida shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Vasilyev working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Putrida doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Putrida manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Vasilyev is controlling Putrida's posture. Vasilyev has momentary wrist control but Putrida slips an elbow through the middle.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Vasilyev lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Putrida! Vasilyev wants to control the pace but Putrida is squirming around nicely. Vasilyev working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. Putrida wants to hold on but Vasilyev pushes him away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Vasilyev goes for an armbar but Putrida turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Putrida. Putrida pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Vasilyev is keeping the position for now. Putrida avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Putrida tries to free his leg and advance position but Vasilyev is retaining full guard. Vasilyev wriggles free and stands up. Putrida closes this distance looking for a takedown but Vasilyev circles away. Mikhail Vasilyev has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Coda Putrida.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Putrida swings for the body but Vasilyev moves out of range.
Vasilyev closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Putrida to the mat! Putrida manages to get full guard. Putrida wants to stand but Vasilyev is controlling the position. Vasilyev landing some decent shots from guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Putrida had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Vasilyev is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Putrida Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Vasilyev's back instead. Putrida is landing with strikes from the back. Vasilyev holding both Putrida 's hands and preventing any damage.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Mikhail Vasilyev. I think Vasilyev has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
